Anuman Interactive have today announced Garfield Kart, an arcade racer based on the famous comic book series. With eight racers to choose from and sixteen tracks to master, Garfield Kart will have you exploring alternative routes and talking no end of lasagne when it releases in October of this year.

A forum at the Bioware Social site has revealed a new social game, Heroes of Dragon Age, may be announced in the near future. The forum, which is definitely set up for public access (with role playing and feedback sub-forums set up) is locked to posters, but is accessible at the link above.

Excellent week this week for releases with two high profile games coming out in the next 7 days. Other releases include a couple 2D fighters and an 80s remake.

It's the latest first-person shooter to be brought to iOS and the one that the developers have promised us will revolutionize the control scheme for shooters on touch screens. Le Vamp is another in a seemingly endless run of endless runner games on the App Store. Where many games put you in direct control of a character who has to run, jump, and/or fight for as long as possible, Le Vamp has you acting as the tiny vampire's protector, removing obstacles from his path as he runs from a crowd of angry villagers.

Not a great week for releases but a week which brings much variety and contrast. two Disney games, two horror games, a couple HD remakes and of course Payday 2 are just some of what you will find coming out in the next 7 days.

On its surface, the idea of making a 2D car combat game seems.... odd. The beauty of combat racers is the feel of being inside a course, smashing against walls and flying around corners on the way to victory. As a side-scrolling, 2D racer, you'd think Delta-V Racing wouldn't be able to capture the kinetic, drift-induced frenzies that its 3D counterparts are. But thanks to some smart level design and interesting implementation of popular combat mechanics, Delta-V Racing is a solid title, despite its over-simplicity in some areas.
