There aren't a lot of games available right now on the Nintendo Switch, and even less selection when you begin breaking down the categories by genre. It seems that New Frontier Days might be the first city simulation game to market, and that could bode well for the company when it comes to sales.

More Thoughts From Me #61: The Fate(s) of Fire Emblem
With Fire Emblem Echoes on the way, I thought it would be a great time to look back at the Fire Emblem game that came out before it: Fire Emblem Fates. I was a huge fan of those games and they made me a huge fan of Fire Emblem. Why did I like Fire Emblem Fates so much? I bought all three Fire Emblem Fates games: Conquest, Revelations, and Birthright. My original plan was to only buy Conquest. But I…

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is coming to the 3DS in May. It was my favorite surprise of the recent Fire Emblem Direct! I’m so excited to play another Fire Emblem game on the 3DS. Nintendo also seems excited to share the game with us and have given fans another cool trailer to watch today. Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia will release for the 3DS on May 19th. Echoes is not your typical Fire Emblem game. First of…

Read MoreHalo Wars 2 Review
I long debated doing this review for Halo Wars 2, and while I plan to affix a score to this when I’m finished, I feel like readers should look at this as impressions. I have one reason for this: RTS games do not translate well to the console experience, and despite the good job Microsoft Studios has done with both the original Halo Wars, and this subsequent title, it is still not the ideal playing situation. Halo Wars 2 on…

Read MoreLegna Tactica Review
Final Fantasy Tactics. Disaega. Fire Emblem. Legna Tactica. Wait. What was that last one? Legna Tactica is a brand new strategy rpg for the 3DS eshop. Much like the other games named, you’ll be moving your characters across squares in various levels. Legna Tactica shares a lot in common with the games I mentioned, but is it a good game or just a cheap rip-off of other strategy rpgs? Legna Tactica has way too much dialogue! Its similar to Fire…

I love strategy rpgs. My favorite of this genre is still Final Fantasy Tactics for the PlayStation 1, though I am a huge fan of the recent entries in the Fire Emblem series. So when an indie developer brings a strategy rpg to the 3DS, I’m always interested. Legna Tactica is currently available on the 3DS eshop. I recently received a review copy of the game and I’ve been playing it a lot. My review isn’t ready yet, but I…

Kecmo has brought a lot of rpgs to the Wii U and 3DS eshop. All of these games have been turn based rpgs though. Legna Tactica, just released today for the 3DS eshop, is a bit different though. Legna is a strategy rpg! I love strategy rpgs. I may even love strategy rpgs as much as I love turn-based rpgs. The jury is still out on that one. What I can tell you is that I really love how Legna…
