Nintendo Switch Indie Highlights Video

Nintendo UK had an Indie Highlight video today. You can check it out below and then please come back for my thoughts on this Indie Direct. The Nintendo Indie highlight video was not announced. It was a complete surprise. Also surprising was that three of the games shown in the video: Bad North, Prison Architect, and Morphies Law came out today! I thought the video was pretty impressive overall. Nintendo Switch is getting a ton more Indie games for the…

More Thoughts From Me #132: Lego (DC) Villains Attack!

Why? Lets take a look at Lego DC Super-Villains! Lego DC Super-Villains looks like it’ll be a little different from the usual Lego video games. In all the Lego games so far, you started out playing as one of your favorite heroes (or characters from a movie like Star…

Alchemic Jousts

The tower defense genre can be a mixed bag at times. I’ve played some tower defense games that were really good, others that had potential but were a bit too complex, and still others that were too simple. Alchemic Jousts for the Nintendo Switch is a tower defense game that looks good, but is it? There is no story or setup for Alchemic Jousts. Instead, the player is a given tutorial pop-up boxes that help teach you how to play…

You Just Had to Be There: Impressions from the Xbox E3 Briefing

Let me start by saying, having the opportunity to experience the XBOX briefing was amazing. Not only did they announce the acquisition of five studios, they also showed 50 games, 15 of which were “console exclusive”. Of course, console exclusive doesn’t make a game belong to Xbox, some may be on PC as well (e.g. PUBG), others may only be exclusive to XBOX for a limited time.
