More Thoughts From Me E3 Edition: Smash Bros Switch Looks Amazing

We knew that Nintendo would have Smash Bros for the Nintendo Switch this year. We knew that for sure. But what else did Nintendo show? Well…not a lot…but hey, Smash Bros looks amazing! Smash Bros Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch has been announced. It is coming out in December. It looks amazing. Ok, now that I got that out of the way…I have to say that I’m disappointed. Not by Smash Bros, it looked great, but by the lack of…

Vampyr Review

The dark and dreary setting of World War 1 London wasn't something I thought i would ever enjoy, but when you factor in vampires and an intriguing story, perceptions begin to change. From beginning to end, Vampyr was a story I constantly was engaged with, and although the lackluster and clunky combat almost held me back a few times, the running story and character progression kept me focused on the end game.

E3 2018 – Beyond Good and Evil Shown Early – Ubisoft Press Conference

While we knew it was coming, most people thought Ubisoft would end their show by showing off Beyond Good and Evil 2. Instead, we got an early look at this prequel to the outstanding original title, Beyond Good and Evil. While most details are still hidden in mystery, one major detail was announced today that looks fantastic: using community art, music, and stories within the game itself, thanks to Hit Record, a company owned by Joseph Gordon Levitt.

More Thoughts From Me E3 Edition: Square Enix Direct. I guess

EA, Microsoft, and Bethesda have all had media conferences now. Today, at noon, was Square Enix’s turn. I watched the event and…well…it could have been better. A lot better. Square Enix did not hold a press conference today. Instead, they had a video. It was basically like a Nintendo Direct. A poor man’s Nintendo Direct… Game after game was shown by Square Enix with very little extra talking. Unfortunately, there were very little surprises too. We knew about most of…

You Just Had to Be There: Impressions from the Xbox E3 Briefing

Let me start by saying, having the opportunity to experience the XBOX briefing was amazing. Not only did they announce the acquisition of five studios, they also showed 50 games, 15 of which were “console exclusive”. Of course, console exclusive doesn’t make a game belong to Xbox, some may be on PC as well (e.g. PUBG), others may only be exclusive to XBOX for a limited time.

More Thoughts From Me E3 Edition: Microsoft Brings The Games

Hello. How is everyone? Can we now pretend like EA didn’t go yesterday? Can we pretend like Microsoft is the one who started E3? If you didn’t see today’s Microsoft E3 conference, you may be wondering: “Why would we do that?” Well…hey…I can’t give away my entire article in this introduction. Instead, lets JUMP IN. I had my doubts going into this years Microsoft E3 conference. Xbox just hasn’t been doing too great lately. And then I saw the conference…

Go On A Quest With Dragon Lapis For 3DS

One of my favorite games from KEMCO is called Dragon Sinker and its for the 3DS. It is a retro-style turn-based rpg for the system. I enjoyed it a lot. So when I heard that KEMCO was doing another retro-style rpg for the 3DS, I got excited. The game is called Dragon Lapis and its out now. I recently received a review code for the game and want to provide you with some impressions of it. Is Dragon Lapis as…

Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition Is What Nintendo Should Do More Of

I've just finally finished getting through Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition on the Nintendo Switch, and although it has been the third time I've played it - first on the Nintendo WiiU and later on the Nintendo 3DS - I once again had a really great time. With each subsequent release of the game, more DLC from previous iterations have been added, giving this last release the appropriate title of "definitive edition." This third time through, however, I quickly realized I wasn't necessarily thinking about he game itself, but rather how Nintendo should be doing ...
