Thronebreaker feat

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales Switch Review

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is a role-playing game that heavily incorporates a revamped version of Gwent, the card game featured in the Witcher games. Originally released in 2018 on PC and consoles, Thronebreaker has now made its way to the Nintendo Switch! While it does incorporate the card game, Thronebreaker is much more than that. Featuring a 30+ hour campaign, the game plays very much like a typical isometric RPG. How will these juxtaposed styles mash into a game, and how will they play out on the Switch? Let's take a look and find out!

Trials of Mana Demo First Impressions

Square Enix has released a demo of Trials of Mana for the Nintendo Switch (its also on the PS4). I played the demo on the Switch and now I have some thoughts on it! The Trials of Mana demo is packed with content. Players are allowed to pick from several characters to play as, plus they can have two companions. I have tried out two of the characters but haven’t finished their sections yet. Each character starts off in a…

Indie World Showcase 3.17.2020 (video)

Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase just aired! We have the video below and some thoughts on it too. This Indie World Showcase was a lot better than then the last one in my opinion. A lot of cool looking indie games were shown this time. Which ones did I like the best? For me, the biggest standout was Summer in Mara. It looked like a cross between the Legend of Zelda and the new Animal Crossing! I absolutely want to play…

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows Review

As a fan of the show by the same name, as well as a long time Mortal Kombat enthusiast, I could not wait to get started playing One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. At first, it seemed like a match made in heaven. While some aspects of the game were more in-depth and impressive than I would have suspected, others were equally less impressive than I had hoped. Let’s dive right in and see what awaits us in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows!

More Thoughts From Me #211: Welcome to Snack World

I didn’t think I’d get to play Snack World for awhile. Surprise, surprise, though, I was able to get my hands on the game. So what do I think of Snack World? Does it live up to the hype? Snack World is very much a dungeon crawler. Yes, there is a town hub and you can buy things there. You can also pick up side quests and talk to villagers. But Snack World is, at its core, a game about…

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Demo Impressions

Square Enix released a demo for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake this morning. I’ve played the demo now and have some thoughts on it! When I woke up this morning, I did not think to myself “Today is the day I get to play a demo of the Final Fantasy 7 remake.” For me, it was average boring morning. Then, I looked on twitter and saw that a Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo had been released. I downloaded it right…

Wargroove + Double Trouble DLC

At its core, Wargroove is very much a modern take on Advance Wars from back in the GBA days, while taking on a medieval fantasy setting vs modern military. But do NOT confuse this with a Fire Emblem game, it's very much not that, and I welcome the change of pace as it's been a long time since we've had something like this! Here is the game description: Following the assassination of King Mercival II of Cherrystone by the High Vampire Sigrid of Felheim, Mercival's young daughter Mercia is crowned queen and soon faces an invasion by the undead Felheim Legion. ...

Darksiders Genesis – Console Launch Trailer

Darksiders Genesis comes out for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and STEAM tomorrow (2/14). Here is the launch trailer for the game! Darksiders Genesis is totally different from the other games in the series. The first two were third person action games, meanwhile Genesis is an overhead Diablo style game. Though, Darksiders Genesis appears to be faster paced than Diablo. The combat looks intense! The overhead style is 100% Diablo. It looks like you’ll be dungeon crawling in Genesis. I do…
