More Thoughts From Me #8: I Still Play Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Animal Crossing: New Leaf has been out for awhile now. Many of my online friends have stopped playing the game. I still play the game though and won’t stop until a new Animal Crossing is released. Why? Time to discuss my Animal Crossing addiction with you! Everyone in my house loves Animal Crossing. My dad has been playing Animal Crossing since the Gamecube version. My mom started playing the game with Wild World on the DS. I’ve been playing the…

Layers of Fear Review

ayers of Fear (a perfect pun of a title) invites players to see the world through the mind of a talented but tormented painter as he navigates his abandoned house and his own guilty conscience. The game, published by Aspyr and developed by Bloober Team SA, has been listed on Steam as an early access game for some time, but in February was fully released to the public both on PC and console. So far the game has received very positive reviews, something games in the horror genre usually have to work a little harder to receive since they so often are accused of ...

Wondershot a great Social Title on Xbox One

Social games have been coming to consoles more frequently on the last few months, and Wondershot from French developer Leikir Studio continues that trend. The game walks the fine line between being great for kids and borderline enjoyable for adults. Overall, Wondershot is an adequate release on Xbox One and Steam, and one that you should at least get your moneys worth on.

Its Still A Tomodachi Life

When Nintendo first announced Tomodachi Life for the 3DS, I thought it sounded goofy and didn’t think it would be my cup of tea. Then, I saw the Nintendo Direct focused on the game and I was sold. The game did look goofy, but definitely my type of goofy. I loved how fun it looked. I’ve never played the game as much as Animal Crossing, but I keep coming back to it. Why do I keep coming back? Rocket League Review

Games that do not require a great amount of knowledge to execute are really, REALLY fantastic. They open up video games to a much wider audience, hauling down the barriers that would otherwise prohibit someone from taking that leap of faith. These games are not bad, mind you; despite their simplicity, they generally have one, major hook: the games are easy to play, but hard to master. Rocket League is this game, and we cannot recommend it enough.
