Back to bed is an abstract puzzle game that throws you into a surreal and artistic world that has you follow Bob, a narcoleptic man who is stuck in his own dream world. You play as Bob’s creepy, blue dog-like creature, who has to make sure that his master does not wake up by saving him from walking alarm clocks, toothed manholes, dogs and whales on rails.

The 3DS has been a great device for playing puzzle games, from the very popular Professor Layton franchise to the Pushmo series. The Wii U also has a fair share of stylus specific games, but it wasn't until Pushmo World was released that I finally took the plunge with one of them. It has been well worth it!

The game is focused on multiplayer, having no single player aspects at all, not even a practice mode, which can be excused since it is a game that is on Facebook and therefore being directed to be played with friends. There isn't any real time multiplayer, it's the type where a person plays one round and waits for his/her's opponent to complete their round. After that the scores are added up, whoever has the most points from making different combinations of cards wins. When Nintendo releases a game, it is generally a normal experience. At the worst, it's perhaps a Mario game with a twist, ala Mario Galaxy. However, Nintendo's latest release - yes, this game has been available in Japan for over a year - is completely off the wall. For a title that does so little, Tomodachi Life is insanely addicting, witty, and often downright strange. It does, however, deserve your attention!

NES Remix II builds on the same basic gameplay mechanics of the original NES Remix. And this is great, because it allows players to attempt challenges in some more popular classic titles such as Super Mario Bros. 3, Zelda 2, Dr. Mario, and Punch-Out. NES Remix II added leaderboards, allowing players to post their scores to Miiverse and to compare with others. Although not a game changer, it was a welcome addition.

Nintendo is a financial powerhouse in the console and software business, regardless of how poor they have done lately. This is built off the backs of strong franchises such as Mario and Zelda. However, Nintendo does experiment with other intellectual properties, whether in a direct development role, or in a lesser role as a producer.

In Race The Sun players control a fast-moving hovercaft that speeds through an endless landscape of abstract geometric objects. Enormous cubes, cones, and walls fill the world as the player hurtles ever forwards towards a setting sun. The ship is unable to stop, only steer from side to side until the player makes an inevitable mistake and crashes in a shower of flaming pixels.
