LEGO Ninjago Movie Game Launches Today

Today is a good day if you are a fan of Ninjago or LEGO in general as both the LEGO Ninjago Movie and the LEGO Ninjago Movie Game launch for the masses. First things first, based on one of our other writers who had the pleasure of sneaking a screening of the movie ahead of launch, it is a fantastically fun experience throughout, definitely worth your time, young or old. But the real excitement for the majority of us at the website is the launch of the game, available today on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

Pokken Tournament DX is Perfect for Friends

I like to think I hang out with a nice diverse group of friends , with different likes and dislikes. When throwing a party, trying to appease everyone at once can be a bit daunting, but I found a surprise friend on the Nintendo Switch: Pokken Tournament DX! It seems that regardless of what they like - whether they enjoy fighting titles, or even Pokémon for that matter - people are willing to sit down and match strength with another person in a Pokken match. I think I know why.

Steamworld Dig 2 Impressions

Steamworld Dig and Steamworld Heist are two of my favorite games on the Nintendo 3DS. Both games are a lot of fun. And the developer of those games, Image & Form, just released another Steamworld game today: Steamworld Dig 2 for the Nintendo Switch! I’ve been playing the game for a couple of days now, thanks to Image & Form, and have some impressions of the game to share with you. How is Steamworld Dig 2 so far? I’ve only…

YS VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Review

I've never had the pleasure of playing a YS game before, and after playing YS VII: Lacrimosa of Dana I really wish I had. From the first cutscenes to the moment I was able to take control of the games protagonist, Adol. Although the game isn't without a few faults, it is an outstanding experience from start to finish, one I'm really glad I was able to play.

SteamWorld Dig 2 – Official Launch Trailer

Steamworld Dig 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch this Thursday! Here is a new trailer for the game and my impressions of it. I loved this new Steamworld Dig 2 trailer. We got a tease of Rusty in the game, saw some new powerups (that hook!!), new areas, and more! I just have to mention how great it was to get another look at the town that Dorothy will be visiting. I like how the new menus are laid…

Check out a new trailer for Middle-earth: Shadow of War and new information about the Mystic Tribe below! According to a PR e-mail we received, “the Mystic tribe” are “a faction of Orcs who specialize in dark magic, rituals and incantations that date back thousands of years.” “In Shadow of War, Orcs now belong to tribes, which extend their influence stemming from the Overlords ruling the mighty fortresses throughout the open world, providing a rich ecosystem of missions, exploration and…

LEGO Dimensions Beetlejuice Fun Pack Review

Tonight, my son and I cracked into the Beetlejuice Fun Pack for LEGO Dimensions thanks to my good friends at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment in Canada. While the physical LEGO build itself isn't one of the best to come out of the LEGO Dimensions lineup, the gameplay more than makes up for it. Overall, the Fun Pack comes highly recommended from us here at GamesReviews!

Metroid: Samus Returns Review-in-progress Part 3

In part 1 of my Metroid: Samus Returns review-in-progress, I talked about Samus Returns gameplay and how it compared to its Gameboy counterpart. In part 2, I updated you on how I was doing in the game and talked about its graphics. And today in part 3, I’ll talk about this game’s controls, specifically its touch screen controls. Metroid: Samus Returns has really good controls. This game plays a lot like older 2D Metroid games, though with the 3DS you…

Pokken Tournament DX Review

Pokken Tournament was a much loved game on the Nintendo Wii U, but not one that many people bought into and spent much time with. Trying to bank on the success of the arcade cabinets in Japan, Nintendo made the decision to bring the game to consoles, with much success in Japan, and moderate success in North America. With a subsequent DX release on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo is looking to expand the player base even further, with many new features that will make this a must own for Nintendo Swtich fans, even those skeptical about the title on Wii U!
