What to Think About When Building a New PC

Building a new rig can be a terrifying ordeal, but it’s also exceptionally rewarding. A newly assembled PC can ensure: Better enjoyment of gaming hobbies, like playing Goldenslot or other online games A boost in work performance so that you can submit reports and meet deadlines consistently A longer lifespan for your computer A machine that doesn’t immediately depreciate after newer iterations of current technology (because specifications fall behind quickly) Building a PC yourself can spare you significant costs if…

Genki Covert Dock

When the Genki Covert Dock popped up on Kickstarter last year, I was definitely intrigued. How could something so small, do so much? I'll admit right here, that using third party docks definietly worried me as so many others had failed and bricked systems. Thankfully, by all accounts, this dock from Genki won't cause those problems, and I cannot wait to try it out!

Animal Crossing New Horizons Dream Mansion Impressions

In Animal Crossing New Leaf, there was a place called the Dream Mansion (aka Dream Suite) where players could go to visit other  towns via the internet. The catch was that it was in a “dream” and so anything you did in the other player’s town didn’t count. Also the other player wasn’t really there. You were just getting to check out a copy of their town. The Dream Mansion was added to New Horizons in the latest update. Well,…

More Thoughts From Me #232: What’s Important

I was going to write about Bloodstained Curse of the Moon 2 but this year and the larger issues with a splash of video game thoughts. I think we all lose sight of the big picture sometimes, then life hits us on the head and reminds us. This could perhaps be my last column or perhaps not. My future is uncertain at the moment. My life is a mess. I won’t go into details but things have gone downhill for…

Fake News has Become the Main Weapon of the Console Wars

Did you hear? Microsoft don’t see Sony as a competitor anymore. They don’t believe in generations. Hell, they don’t even care how many Series X consoles they sell. None of that is true, by the way, but don’t let that get in the way of a good dig at Xbox. It’s easier to pretend your most hated piece of plastic is a mess when you choose to follow carefully selected pieces of propaganda instead of, I don’t know, reading the…

The Highs and Lows of The Origami King

When Nintendo announced and showed a brief snipit of Paper Mario: The Origami King, I was cautiously optimistic that the company was returning to what made the first two titles in the series so fantastic. Then they showed the puzzle battle system. Then they announced via an interview with Game Informer that there wouldn't be any experience points. And my hopes for the game went from an 8-9/10 to a 2-3/10. Gutted would have been the correct word to use.
