When LEGO Worlds came out earlier this year on the PS4 and Xbox One, we jumped at an opportunity to review the title, and thanks to Warner Bros. in Canada, we had that opportunity. You can read our (mostly positive) thoughts here! When doing that review, the one thing I constantly said to friends, my PR representative, and almost everyone else was: "I cannot wait for this game on Nintendo Switch." That time is here, and I was so right with that initial observation: the portability of LEGO Worlds on Nintendo Switch legitimately put my 50+ lbs of LEGO bricks ...

More Thoughts From Me #84: Can You Dig It?
Move over Shovel Knight! There’s only one true digging game and its based in Steamworld. Ok, so Shovel Knight is cool too. And they have their own amiibo figures. And…whatever. I still think Steamworld Dig is cooler. Rusty would totally beat up Shovel Knight if those two characters were in Smash Bros (please Nintendo?). And so its great that there is a Streamworld Dig 2 with Rusty…wait a second. That isn’t Rusty! What’s going on here?! Lets take a look…

Earthlock: Festival of Magic is a role playing game I’ve had my eye on for awhile now. I was hoping it would still come to Wii U, but with a lot of companies switching over to Nintendo’s newest console, I wasn’t sure! Today, Snowcastle Games announced that Earthlock is still on the way for Wii U and will be coming out this week in Europe and hopefully next week in the U.S. We have more details below. Earthlock: Festival of…

I love Adventure games. I’m not much of a PC gamer but I use to play point-and-click games a lot. And I’m always interested in Adventure games on consoles too. A few years ago, I played a game called Syberia on one of Xbox systems I believe. I thought it was a really odd and very cool game. Syberia was an old school Adventure/puzzle game. We don’t see those type of games too often anymore. So it pleases me to…
Read MoreLast Day of June Review
About a week head of launch, 505 games sent out a press swag bag to promote the launch of Last Day of June. Knowing this was the same team that published Portal Knights - a game I really loved - I jumped at the opportunity to get a hold of their next published game. When the care package arrived at the door, it included three items: a short note written on a card from 505 Games, a pair of glasses that matched the ones Carl wears in the game, and a box of tissues. The second I saw the tissues, I knew that, in their eyes at least, 505 Games saw Last Day of ...

If you've had the pleasure of playing the original Knack title, you'll remember it was a charming, underrated experience that was mired by mediocre scores from media, but generally favorable scores from actual players. Well, it's 2017 and Knack is back for a second adventure. While not a ton has changed between these two titles, a few years has made Knack 2 a far superior product.
Read MoreObserver Review
The thrilling video game marketplace has been steadily growing for the last 15-20 years, and Observer is just the latest in a long run of cyber-punk games to enter this particular marketplace. Creating a great thriller title for console is fairly hard - movies work because the directors have all the say, but in video games, you the player decide what to do and where to go, which can take away from the intended experience. Thankfully, during my play through of Observer, I rarely felt this to be the case!

Nintendo of America did a Nindies Summer Showcase video presentation today. A lot of games were shown off. Check out the video below and please come back for my opinion of the showcase and the games shown. The Nindies Summer Showcase today was really good. I wasn’t sure it would be at first because I didn’t find the initial games that impressive (Super Meat Boy Forever looked ok, but not my sort of game). But then we got big news…

I've never been one to play authentic golf titles, and although I did enjoy The Golf Club 2 which launched earlier this year, it still wasn't what I was looking for.
