After the fanbase-splitting ending to Mass Effect 3, a survey concerning the future of the franchise was always going to bring out people who wanted their opinions heard. While it's hard to envy the guy that has to go through it all over the coming months, one thing is certain: there have been an awful lot of responses.

EA Upgrades All Sims 2 Owners to the DLC-packed “Ultimate Edition” for Free
EA have this morning sent out an email confirming that owners of The Sims 2 will be receiving the "Ultimate Edition" of the game for free via Origin. Later this month they'll be dropping technical support for the 2004 hit, and want everybody to have "the most up-to-date" version in their collection. If you're a fan, prepare yourself for a huge amount of new DLC.

Skullgirls developer Lab Zero Games are looking for somebody to help them develop a Dualshock 3 driver for PlayStation 4. It seems like Sony have allowed for developers to write drivers for "unsupported USB devices," presumably allowing for individual title support of things like Rockband instruments, however Lab Zero's Mike Z is hoping to bring back last-gen's controller for Skullgirls Encore.

The Last of Us PS4 is done and being prepared for retail as we speak. If you're excited to return to Joel and Ellie's adventure - only without all the visual problems that caused issues the first time around - it is now as good as it's ever going to be (at least without downloading patches anyway). It also means that the Naughty Dog team who were working on the port can move onto bigger and better future projects.

That was then, and since GTA V was released is has garnered dozens of perfect scores, awards and millions of sales. Everybody who ...

When you get a decently sized library on Steam, certain things will begin to annoy you. Maybe it's the fact that the older GTA titles are listed twice in both PC and Mac variants, or that your Tomb Raider collection is totally out of order? It's not really the end of the world, not until you notice it anyway, at which point you'd trade in your left hand for someone to do something. Well, put down the meat cleaver, Steam's latest update fixes the issue, no blood ...
Read MoreHeavenly Sword Movie Available this September
Heavenly Sword was one of the better games of the early PS3 days, even though it's painfully underappreciated. Like the Wii U today, it was put out as an example of first party ingenuity, and the general reaction (usually from people that hadn't and never would play it) was to laugh out loud. God of War?! With a woman?! Still, it was successful enough to get optioned as a movie, and then everybody forgot about it... until now.
Read MoreThief Movie in Development
The last Thief game garnered less than perfect reviews, and so fans are likely hungry to find out where the franchise is going next - if anywhere. The good news is that it'll definitely be making a return. The bad news is that it'll probably be in film form.
Read MoreBorderland Pre-Sequel, Beyond: Two Souls could make it to PS4
There are plenty of games that deserve to come to PS4, and chief among them are The Last of Us and Grand Theft Auto V. So it's no surprise that those are the titles Sony chose to highlight at their E3 conference earlier this year, but even then, there have been a couple of titles that would be expected to be cross-gen, but which haven't had a mention... until now.
