Y.R.P In Position for new Final Fantasy X-2 HD Shots

Although Final Fantasy X-2 doesn't quite manage to live up to the original in terms of fan nostalgia, I can't imagine anyone felt the Final Fantasy X re-release was complete without having its sequel available as well. For many who experienced the story of Tidus, Yuna, Auron and company for the first time in the last few years, getting hold of a copy of X-2 might not have been easy (or, arguably, even worth it).

Wolfenstein: The New Order Announcement Trailer

Bethesda yesterday announced a new entry in the Wolfenstein series, and it looked pretty good. The screenshots released managed to capture both the stark visual style of life under the Nazis, but also a certain mood. Available across multiple platforms at the end of the year, including next-gen machines, this is definitely going to be one to watch. That's only hit home by this announcement trailer.

Retro Revival Fire & Forget: The Final Assault Coming May 16th

If you remember the original Fire & Forget, I may need to repeat this several times, because your mind probably isn't what it used to be. I kid, of course, but it's true that this is an IP that has been dormant for more than two decades. That's about to change, because on May 16th, Fire & Forget: The Final Assault will be released on PC/Mac, iOS devices and Android. It looks like the developers have tried to really capture what made those early games great and, ...

You'll play as the president of the US, and will use your crazy kick-ass powers to save the planet from an evil alien invasion. There was a time when the Saints Row series was a GTA clone, albeit one full of potential. Those days are well and truly gone.

Final Fantasy VII PC Purchase has Thirty Day Limit

If you bought the PC re-release of Final Fantasy VII when it released last year, your download link has now expired. Although technically this was disclosed at purchase, it doesn’t seem to have been placed in a way that the majority would have seen it. Square Enix support aren’t willing to offer a new download link or a refund. This is standard practice for Digital River, the company which runs the E-commerce side of the Square Enix site. ...

Final Fantasy VII, VIII Definitely Coming to Steam – Logos Added to DB Page

There have been hints before, but now it’s fair to say that Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII are almost certainly coming to Steam. The SteamDB page was updated yesterday to include a set of logos for both games. This is on top of each game receiving multiple updates over the last few months, and Final Fantasy VIII receiving achievements. Although nothing has been officially announced, with logos at the ready, it can only be a matter of time…

A Guide to the Wii U Hack – Is It Really Curtains for Nintendo?

The news that the Wii U has been hacked came out earlier this week, and there seems to have been confirmation of it. Things seem to have gone from bad to worse with Nintendo, with low sales, a lack of software and now piracy stopping their latest console from growing. That's what the detractors are saying, anyway. The reality is completely different.
