Witcher 3 Awards and DLC Review

I'm not sure October could have become any better for CD Projekt Red, the studio behind the award winning Witcher franchise and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game. Not only did they launch the first of two large expansion packs this month - which was very good by the way, more below - but they also took home five awards in the Golden Joysticks 2016!

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Review

Apparently, lumping together Zelda and the 3DS is not always going to produce an epic adventure like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Tri Force Heroes might use the same graphical approach, but the game could not be any more different. Despite what many reviewers are saying online, I really, REALLY enjoyed my time with Tri Force Heroes, both in single player and multiplayer. Read on to find out more!

Guitar Hero Live Review

Just on the heels of Rock Band, Activision launched their own music game. Unlike the Harmonix giant, Activision completely changed up the way we thought a Guitar Hero should play, making Guitar Hero Live a completely different experience, something you will have never played before. While this new design comes with its fair share of advantages, we cannot help but look to the age old saying: If it ain't broken, don't fix it. While Guitar Hero Live does things I ...

Splatoon Pirates v Ninjas Splatfest

Nintendo needs to be applauded, loudly. Their support for Splatoon has been incredible, not only with updates to the game itself, but also by hosting frequent Splatfest's surrounding special events. Just in time for Halloween weekend, Nintendo is launching another special event for Splatoon players: Pirate's versus Ninjas.

Indie Corner: Forced

In a video game generation that continues to move away from local cooperative play, it was nice to see a game come across my desk that would allow my wife and I to play together. And we did! Outside of some wonky controls, Force delivers a great top down puzzle RPG game that is sure to delight those looking for something in between long titles like Diablo and Divinity: Original Sin.

Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Version Review

Back in 2010, THQ released a sequel to the popular Darksiders game titled – not surprisingly – Darksiders 2. Now in 2015, the game has been enhanced and ported to the Xbox One and Playstation 4. While subtle changes have been made, there doesn’t seem to be any reason for previous Darksiders fans to come back and play the game again. For those that have never played, however, Darksiders 2 on Xbox One will make you feel like you are…

Top Reasons to Play Yoshi Woolly World

I had the opportunity to play Yoshi Woolly World a number of times during Nintendo of Canada events in Toronto. The first time I played the game - well over a year ago at an E3 2014 event - I was so excited for this title. The game was unique in design, and was packed with so much charm. While I have yet to play the final product, here are our top reasons to give Yoshi's Woolly World a try this holiday season.

Halo 5 Guardians Review

My expectations for Halo 5 Guardians were mixed. One one hand, it is Halo, and 343 Industries and Microsoft have rarely strayed from the core mechanics that make up a Halo game. On the other hand, 343 promised a much different Halo experience, which they demoed multiple times at many trade shows: squad combat. Although squad combat is not new to the franchise, it was the first time it was used exclusively in the a numbered Halo game. So how does Halo 5 ...
