Today, the people behind Fable Legends sent out a short press release detailing when the servers for the game will be shut down - April 13th - as well as details regarding the reimbursement for purchases made via the in-game store. From Lionhead Studios:

My early impressions of Return to PopoloCrois: A STORY OF SEASONS Fairytale were great, although I mentioned that in the first number of hours there was a heavy reliance on RPG elements and minimal farming time. Things have begun to balance out as I cross the 10 hour mark. However, fair warning: this is still an RPG game with farming elements, not the other way around.

The video game world was rocked today with the announcement that Fable Legends was being cancelled, and that there was a potential closure of Lionhead Studios all together. This will come as a shock since Legends was already in BETA form and the team was rolling out updates, one coming even as late as Friday of last week.

Last week, Warner Bros. PR in Toronto, Ontario, sent over a bunch of Ninjago play sets for LEGO Dimensions. Over the past few days, my six year old son Logan and I have been building the sets and exploring the Ninjago world. Last week, Warner Bros. PR in Toronto reached out and let me know they had a number of Ninjago, LEGO Dimensions fun packs and character packs to send my way. Big releases from Nintendo are often coupled with great contests. Not only are the submissions great - and they really are, whether it's art, cosplay, or something else - but the prices are superb! Nintendo of Canada is currently running a contest in celebration of the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, which hits retail on March 4th, and Hyrule Legends on the 3DS later this month.

It wouldn't be a complete week of news and reviews without another video from our good friend, @OMGitsJezy. Earlier this week, Jezy took a look at the Thrustmaster Y300X headset for Xbox One. Nintendo has extended it's Nintendo Selects program to include Wii U and 3DS titles, and they will begin hitting stores and the eShop on March 11th. If you are in the market for any of these titles, your best bet is to wait a few weeks. Nintendo is not known for discounting their titles, and don't expect to find any of there big sellers - Smash Bros, Mario Kart, etc. - on this list anytime soon, if ever.
