More Thoughts From Me #1: An Introduction
I know you have questions. You’re probably thinking: there were other thoughts from you? And, wait, just who the heck are you? My name is Daniel Fugate. I’m a writer, reviewer, and blogger. As a blogger, I’ve written my More Thoughts From Me column for awhile now. Never heard of it? I’m not surprised! My readership at that blog is…pretty low… But, you know, its nice to have a reader that believes in you. Games Review’s Adam Roffel said he…
Video: @OMGitsJezy Unboxes the Turtle Beach Recon50
It is time for yet another video from our good friend Jezy. This time around, he is unboxing the Turtle Beach Recon50 which Turtle Beach was kind enough to send him. Jezy will be taking about two weeks to use the headset and work on his review, which should go live at that time.
Xbox Games Come and Go, but Nintendo Stays
The last few years have not been the greatest for Nintendo. The 3DS - while still popular - never found the success the original DS had, and the same can be said about the Wii U - more drastically - when compared to the Wii. Fans and haters will sit around for the first half of 2016 waiting on Nintendo NX news. One party getting ready for the hype, and the other looking for reasons to hate. If I am speaking honestly, the Wii U is my least favorite Nintendo console, but has some of my favorite Nintendo games. In my house, Nintendo games stay, while other console titles come and go. While Nintendo platforms this generation lack the variety and heavy hitters, they have all the titles that continue to get play time in my home.

Sometimes, looking at old headsets is never a bad idea. While they can sometimes be difficult to find, you will often find them at a more attractive price. This is definitely the case with the MVP Monster Carbon headset which has universal capability across Playstation, Xbox, and PC. We figured we would start the week of right by looking at another video from @OMGitsJezy! Nothing like an energetic voice and personality on YouTube to get your week started!
Ark is the Dino Game We Wanted
So yes, the rumors are definitely true. ARK: Survival Evolved is the dinosaur game that we have always wanted. Sure, there have been a handful of good dino games in the past...ok may be one or two, but soon players on Xbox One will get a massive, exciting, dinosaur adventure. Whether it's simply being awestruck by the views throughout the world, or actually engaging in the many activities available, there will be something for everyone in this pre-release title.
Games to look forward to in 2016
2016 is going to be a great year for gaming, with a whole host of titles we've been waiting for for years. Whether it's The Last Guardian or Uncharted 4, you just know your wallet is going to be empty all year around.
Oculus Rift Out of Stock
Preorders for the Oculus Rift kit went on sale this morning at 11 PM Eastern Time, and it took less than 15 minutes for the entire stock to be claimed. Shipment dates originally set for March 2016 have also been pushed back to April 2016. For those that said Virtual Reality gaming was never going to catch one, well, unless Oculus only had 5 units to sell, I would argue you are probably wrong.
Should Anyone be Surprised by Nintendo NX Rumors?
The Internet is heating up today as analysts begin "informing" the public that Nintendo will begin releasing details of the NX in April or May, with a full reveal in June, likely at E3. Is this really news? Did we not all expect this to happen? I think most gamers and media individuals have been calling for an NX release in time for Holiday 2016, which I would argue runs from October onward.
Microsoft Enjoys Record Breaking 2015
In a post on their new website, the Xbox Wire, Microsoft announced that 2015 was one of the best years for Xbox, ever. For starters, December 28th saw more Xbox Live logins in one day than ever before in the console franchises history. Below are a few exerts from the article.
Looking back on 2015 from a Reviewers Perspective
Being a video games reviewer is a lot more than just playing games and writing opinions. For some, yes, that is all they do. For myself, it is my job contact developers, publishers, and public relations agencies, plan our game coverage, stay on top of what games we have in the system, and more. Often, we get overloaded with content to work through, and it takes careful decision making and planning to get everything done in a timely fashion. However, I like to take the first few days of a new year to reflect on individuals and agencies that have made my life as a reviewer that much easier.
