The video game world was rocked today with the announcement that Fable Legends was being cancelled, and that there was a potential closure of Lionhead Studios all together. This will come as a shock since Legends was already in BETA form and the team was rolling out updates, one coming even as late as Friday of last week.

Shining A Light-Child of Light for Wii U Thoughts

Child of Light is currently on sale for the Wii U. For just $3.98 you can have the game for the Wii U. Why should you buy it RIGHT NOW? Here are my thoughts on Child of Light so far. I had been tempted to buy Child of Light for awhile now. I thought the graphics looked great and the gameplay looked solid. And yet, I hesitated. The game cost $14.99 and I wasn’t completely sure about it. Then, just…

The Twilight Princess Retrospective Continues

Nintendo released a new Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess retrospective yesterday.   The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will be out for the Wii U on Friday. Nintendo released another retrospective video yesterday for the game. This time, Nintendo took a look at the game’s gameplay and dungeons.   I really loved the ability to turn into a wolf in Twilight Princess. I also thought Twilight Princess had some unique and sometimes challenging dungeons. The game wasn’t too hard…

The Joys of LEGO and Video Games

Last week, Warner Bros. PR in Toronto reached out and let me know they had a number of Ninjago, LEGO Dimensions fun packs and character packs to send my way. They arrived yesterday, and my six year old son Logan lost his mind. Not only is Logan a big Ninjago fan, but he is also a big LEGO Dimensions fan. His excitement made me realize something: all of these toys-to-life games do a great job of mixing toys and video games, but none of them - Skylanders or Disney Infinity - can do it like LEGO.
