OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead Dev Diary #1
Earlier today, I tweeted out that Far Cry 5 would make the perfect backdrop for a Walking Dead video game, forgetting that one was actually already in the works. Although not by Ubisoft, Overkill Software is working on bringing The Walking Dead to life in a multiplayer FPS experience. Little has been released about this game, but today the developers broke their silence, releasing the first of (hopefully) many Dev Diaries. Check it out below!
More Thoughts From Me #113: Mortal Kombat Asks You To “Finish Him!”
I was really young when the original Mortal Kombat for the NES came out. I remember thinking it was gross but I wasn’t offended by it and neither was my dad. The game was violent but it was over the top cartoon violence. Of course not everyone saw it like that. A small group and the media tried to turn Mortal Kombat into a controversy There have been a lot of Mortal Kombat games since then but none of them…

Happy Birthdays Demo Impressions
As I do anymore, I decided to check the Japanese Nintendo Switch eshop and see if there was a new demo to download. And I found a demo called Happy Birthdays right away. I knew it was a simulation game and that NIS America is going to bring it to the United States this year. I thought it would be an interesting download, even if it was all in Japanese. Then I actually played it on my United States profile…

We’ve been more involved in mobile gaming on iOS and Android over the past number of months, and have stepped up our efforts to bring some of the best free-to-play gaming to our readers. LEGO Review: 70617 Temple of the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon
It's always been a huge desire in the Roffel household to put together a large LEGO set, one that comes in at over 1000 pieces. Generally, these are often too expensive and out of our reach, but we found one on uber clearance at Walmart, and realized that 1400 pieces for 59.99 was a pretty good deal. So we purchased, and after putting it together, decided that event a 129.99, this is a magnificent set for any LEGO NINJAGO fan!
BlackBerry Mobile Launches Smartphone Fan League
In terms of weird email headlines, getting notification that BlackBerry was starting a Smartphone Fan League definitely ranks up their pretty high, but when I began surfing through the press release sent over by the PR firm, I was pleasantly surprised, and actually a little bit excited about what the company was proposing! Check out the details below, and take a peak at our BlackBerry Motion review!
More Thoughts From Me #112: Ready Player One?
Most of the time I talk about video games in this column, but today I wanted to change things up a little. Ready Player One is an upcoming motion picture based on a book by Ernest Cline. I read the book and liked it a lot. I can’t wait to see the movie! Why should you care about the movie? Well…the movie (and the book) is about a video game of sorts and has a lot of video game references.…
Nindies Showcase 3.20.18
Nintendo of America had an Indie (Nindie) showcase today. You can check that video out below and then please come back for my impressions of it. Today’s Nindie Showcase was not very good. There were no major surprises like Fornite or even a release date for Wargroove. None of the previously mentioned indie games from other showcases were mentioned at all. The video was also very short. Now, I’m not saying that there were no interesting games at all in…
Sea of Thieves PSA: Don’t Be That Guy Without a Microphone, plus more!
Yesterday afternoon, Xbox Canada unlocked Sea of Thieves for reviewers, and I quickly jumped in for a few hours to see all the exciting content that wasn't public during the alpha and beta phase of the game. Right from the get-go, Rare did not disappoint, with much more content ready and waiting for me the second I walked out of the tavern and down to my ship. Whether it was looking for chests, taking on undead pirates for loot via a washed up Message in a Bottle, or wrangling a few animals, my first few hours in Sea of Thieves have been pretty fun. that being said, I've created a list of public service announcements for Sea of Thieves that everyone should take into consideration. Let's begin...
