More Thoughts From Me #48: Can’t Wait to Play These Games

2017 is almost here! Yes, we still have all the holidays to go through and New Years, but after that, we are off to another year. Last week, I talked about the games I loved this year. This week, I want to talk about the games I can’t wait to play next year!

Just like my list last week, this list is pure Nintendo. What am I looking forward to in 2017? Let’s take a look:

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

We’ve seen so much footage of this game, including Nintendo Switch footage, and I am still extremely for this game! I will probably buy the Switch version of the game unless that gets delayed (like rumored) and then I might go with the Wii U one. I just can’t wait to play this game!

Dragon Quest 8

I loved Dragon Quest 7 on the 3DS. And while I have played eight before, I’m very excited to play it again on the 3DS. Plus: this version has new content. Also: I never did beat the game on PS2. So ready for January!

YIIK: A Postmodern RPG

I hope this game is still coming to the Wii U. Last I heard, it was coming. I really want to play this on the Wii U. YIIK looks like it’ll be a great addition to the eshop lineup. I love its mix of Earthbound and…well…just its overall uniqueness. It looks like it’ll be a fun rpg and the Wii U doesn’t have too many of those.

Ever Oasis

Ever Oasis was created by one of the original Final Fantasy creators! That alone gets me excited, but the graphics and the gameplay for this game look fantastic. Ever Oasis reminds me of a Final Fantasy game and it also reminds me of Fantasy Life (which is a good thing). I definitely can’t wait to play this 3DS action rpg!

Earthlock: Festival Of Magic

I heard very recently this this game will be coming to the Wii U in early 2017. This is another rpg coming to the Wii U eshop. I’m excited for this one too. The graphics on this game look amazing and the gameplay looks really fun. I’m glad Wii U is finally getting some awesome rpgs.

Mario Sports Superstars

Mario Sports Superstars looks like a lot of fun. I’m not even a sports fan! But the mix of baseball, golf, tennis, horse racing and soccer looks like it’ll make a fun 3DS title.

Nintendo Switch Games

My level of excitement for the Nintendo Switch is all over the place at times. I like what I’ve seen of the system, though I’m still unhappy with how the Wii U is being treated by Nintendo and some Indie developers. The Switch looks like a cool system though and its been hinted that some good games are coming to it. I’m looking forward to seeing what Nintendo reveals in January!

And I’m sure there will be other games to be excited about in 2017 too. These are just the main games that I can’t wait to play!
