Professional Gaming: A Big Risk Or A Chance?

There are still many discussions about gaming. And for some people, it is a necessary relaxation, for others rather a health risk. Anyway, the market is flourishing. But what risks does this hobby entail?

ESPORTS

Gaming is now so popular around the world that a separate category of professional sport has even developed: electronic sports, also called eSports. But if you want to play in the big leagues, you’ll need a lot of training – and a lot of muscle.

Most eSports pros are in their early twenties, and by the time they’re 30, they’re already dropping out of the scene. eSports professionals spend an average of six hours a day playing the game, while the average gamer of the “lower” skill levels still gambles for two to three hours.

However, this has implications for gamers’ health. If you have already played games or place bets on virtual platforms as 20Bet for a long time, you must have noticed that it is not so good for your feeling.

Anyway, the good news is that eSports players are currently becoming more physically active. Many modern gamers go in for sports to stay fit. However, professional gamers are experiencing stress every day.

THE PROFESSIONAL GAMERS AND THE STRESS PROBLEM

Another risk associated with gaming is that of addiction. Some surveys show that many young people are considered to be so-called risk gamers. Half of those surveyed play games at least five days a week. For many teenagers, such activity is a means to distract themselves from unpleasant thoughts.

Such risk gamers felt unhappy when they can’t play and become addicted to gambling and are unable to reduce their gaming consumption, although others recommended, they do so.

Moreover, the risk of computer game addiction is intensified by the Covid. But does it mean, that eSports is a bad activity? Of course, not. It doesn’t matter if you are a professional gamer or not, but there are just some things to remember if you enjoy virtual games.

It is very important to control the process of your game, don’t become addicted to it, and don’t invest too much money and time in it. Even if you are a gamer, you should have some alternative activities you can enjoy in your free time. Reasonable gaming is healthy, good, improves your gaming and cognitive skills, and gives you positive emotions.
