More Thoughts From Me: You Were Named After The Dog!?

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle came out on Sunday night. I’ve been playing it a lot since then and while I’m still very early on in the game, I wanted to talk about what I’ve played so far. Spoiler Warning here just in case!

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is out now on Xbox Series. I’ve been playing it since Sunday and I just had to write about it…

This game is so great! Everything from the graphics to the gameplay and music and sound and…oh my. Wow.

Look, let me back up a bit. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has a perfect start. I won’t spoil it but its just a wonderful way for the game to introduce the gameplay and set you up as Indiana Jones.

And that’s one of the biggest things you have to know about this game: YOU are Indy. The first person gameplay puts you behind the hat and you absolutely do feel like you are this legend. You look at maps, journal entries, notes, artifacts, and punch nazis. You punch a lot of nazis and it feels really good.

Then there’s the places you explore: all of the areas are so full of detail, with things you pick up, interactive objects like lamps, and so many people and things you can’t interactive with. The world of this game looks more than a movie set…it looks like a real world!

Of course, when you go into cutscenes, its almost like you’re watching an Indiana Jones movie. I say almost because yes, Indy doesn’t look completely real, he is definitely a video game character, but wow. He does look great. And Troy Baker does an excellent job voicing Indiana.

This game is so amazing. I’m pretty sure its going to be my game of the year! Okay, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta get back to the game!

More Thoughts From Me is an opinion column. The thoughts expressed here are mine and mine alone. Hope there’s another Indiana Jones game in our future.
