More Thoughts From Me: Ten Games I Can’t Wait to Play in 2025

2025 is right around the corner. What games are you looking forward to? I have ten games I’m looking forward to and want to share the with you all.

Its almost 2025 and its time to talk about what games I’m looking forward to next year. Here they are:

10. Avowed: This brand new IP looks like a lot of fun. I don’t know a lot about it but I’m looking forward to checking it out on Game Pass.

9. Unannounced Digital Eclipse game: This year we got Tetris Forever, Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, and Atari 50 DLC. I can’t wait to see what Digital Eclipse has in store for us in 2025.

8. Fable: We haven’t seen much of Fable yet. I suspect if we had seen more of this, that it would be higher on this list. I’m hoping the new Fable is amazing.

7. Tales of the Shire: I love simulation games. And I also love Lord of the Rings. So a Hobbit simulation game has my full attention. This game looks like its going to be really good.

6. Dragon Quest 1+2 HD-2D: Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D is incredible. And next year, we get the first and second game in HD-2D. Can’t wait!

5. Xenoblade Chronicles X: I liked this game a bunch of the Wii U and I’m glad its finally coming to the Switch in March. It’ll likely be even better on Switch. Its great that more people will get to play this cool game.

4. Unannounced Square Enix game: Square Enix always has something for the Switch that they haven’t revealed to us yet and next year, we’ll likely get something that’ll be on Switch and
“Switch 2”. I hope its Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster. Pretty please Square Enix.

3. Metroid Prime 4: We’ve been waiting awhile for Metroid Prime 4 but it looks like it’ll be more than worth the wait. The first gameplay we saw looked great but I’m sure it’ll look even better by the time gets out next year!

2. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time: I loved Fantasy Life on the 3DS. Its mix of simulation and action gameplay was a lot of fun. And Fantasy Life for the Switch looks really good the last time we saw it. However with the game delayed till 2025, hopefully that means it’ll look even better when it come out. Hoping this one is great.

1. South Of Midnight: A brand new game with a unique setting and protagonist. South Of Midnight looks incredible, with its focus on urbran legends and a world that feels like ours but isn’t exactly ours. South Of Midnight definitely my most anticipated game at the moment.

Its likely that Nintendo and other publishers, especially Indies, will announce things next year that I’ll want to play a lot. This is just my list for now!

What are you looking forward to?

More Thoughts From Me is an opinion column. The thoughts expressed here are mine and mine alone. And no I’m not looking forward to “Switch 2”.
