How Can You Manipulate The RP System In Apex Legends?
Ranked Play in Apex Legends is the competitive mode that allows players to battle through different ranks and earn rewards. The ranks are skill-based matchmaking modes that allow players to play against players within the same tier of their similar skillset. To progress higher in the ranks, players must gain points to help raise their rank.
Players can earn multiple perks through online matchmaking. Players can earn in-game items depending on the tier they reach by the end of the season as well. Altogether, there are seven ranks for players to grind through, starting with bronze and ending with Apex Predator. If you make it to Apex Predator, you are considered one of the top 500 players in the game. In the end, is there a quicker way to get to this rank?
The Way To Earn RB
Ranked points are awarded for eliminations and placement. When you make it to the higher tiers, you start matchmaking with negative points, so you have to climb through the ranks by securing more eliminations and/or wins. If you want to get the money in hand and be a high tier player, then you will need to find a way to earn more eliminations and placements.
When the tiers get harder, the ranking points go down. For example, if you are in Gold, you can earn a maximum of 201 ranked points for five kills and assists and a first-place placement. However, in platinum, that RP drops to 189, and 177 in diamond rank. Once you get to Apex Predator, the highest RP you could get with that total is 165. When we say that this is a grind, we weren’t kidding.
Explained Further
To clarify, kills and assists mean the same thing in ranked Apex and are capped at five. That means that once you hit five you have earned the maximum amount of points for eliminations. If you have the necessary skills, you can purely focus on placement points. Typically, the points turn positive once you have made the top-8 squads and that is if you have secured zero kills or assists. If you have the five kills and assists, then your goal is to try and maximize the total match by winning it all together.
If you place anywhere below the 10th squad, you won’t earn any points. Even though killing enemies is valuable, you still have to find a way to survive. As the games get more competitive, staying alive will be rather difficult.
Update Coming
On December 15th, Season 7 will feature a soft-reset and players will be dropped back 1.5 tiers. Ranked will take place on World’s Edge until the completion of the seventh season. The reason for the reset? Even the hottest video games need to keep players involved. By moving players back, it likely keeps the fanbase engaged and keeps them grinding to get to the highest tier that they can. Hopefully, you can find a way to fly through the rankings, so the pushback doesn’t affect you too much.
