Resident Evil Village
We will never, repeat, never have enough of the Resident Evil franchise. The true focus of this game is not really the characters but rather the setting itself. You play from a first-person perspective, just like in Resident Evil 7, but you find yourself in a terrifying Romanian village this time around. The cast of characters adds another layer of depth to the scene, and it’s a spine-chilling ride from start to finish.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
While this is a debut game, you can hardly tell once you’re playing. Ember Lab’s first effort is certainly a strong one, with vivid and exciting animation and flair that only comes naturally to the best animators and developers. This platformer game takes us back to the days of Jak and Daxter: making your way through an open-world environment, you’ll need to collect things as you go and solve puzzles to move ahead.
The game isn’t overly complex, but it’s not as easy as it looks at first glance. The lovable little creatures and the big bad bosses you meet are crafted with care. All in all, this instant cult hit is well worth a try.
The Last Of Us Part 1
Now, I doubt we have to say much about this incredibly well-known game, soon to be a series. The Last Of Us is one of the most well-received games in history (apart from its exceptionally high initial launch price), tugging at heartstrings and testing skill levels all over the world.
This remake of a 2013 classic is stuffed to the brim with incredible graphics and gameplay, and character models. In a post-apocalyptic world, you play as a grieving father who must survive an airborne disease and the zombies left in its wake. Thankfully the gameplay has been left mostly untouched; the visuals have been brought up to modern standards with no stone left unturned or corner untouched.
Four Kings Casino and Slots
This casino simulation leaves you wanting for nothing. Any casino game you could ever want to play is at your fingertips: roulette, slots, poker: you name it, it’s there. The attention to detail is what makes this game truly unique and what keeps fans coming back time after time. You can interact with other characters (yes, there is a multiplayer option) or NPCs in the form of a character completely of your own choosing.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
Marvel and PlayStation…need we say more? Always! Edios have truly outdone themselves and kept both gamers and Marvel fans more than happy. Thankfully, the campaign in this game is based almost entirely on the original Avengers stories, although it won’t take you too long to play through. You’re looking at about 20 hours total.

All your favorite characters are along for the ride: Drax, Groot, Rocket, Gamora, and the ever-entertaining Starlord. Unfortunately, we do lose out without a face scan of Chris Pratt to add to the realism of the character, but it performs valiantly nonetheless. Combat is engaging and intense, and exploration may be slightly limited, but it is still fun.
Death Stranding Directors Cut
Death Standing Director’s Cut is Undoubtedly one of the PS5 titles with the creepiest introductory cinematic in PlayStation history. Hideo Kojima is known for excellence, and this title will not disabuse you of that notion. This weird and haunting world is a treacherous one.
You play as a delivery man who has to make his way through this dark place and deliver his packages on time. Sounds bland, but when every step you take is a risk or a mystery, you can’t help but feel exhilarated. The tension created with the use of sound and color is a nice touch, and the director’s cut offers even better graphics than in the original game, as well as 3D audio and lots of new content.
Wrap Up
If you have even one of these incredible games at your fingertips on a PlayStation 5, you’re in for an awesome ride.
