Nintendo Announces Indie World Showcase for 11/9

Nintendo has announced a new Indie World Showcase for this week! We have the details so far and some speculation below.

Nintendo has announced a brand new Indie World Showcase for November 9th at 11:00 am central. It will be about 25 minutes long and only be focused on indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch!

Its surprising to see a new Indie World showcase this late in the year. I wasn’t expecting this at all. I thought we were probably done with all of the videos from Nintendo this year. I doubt we’ll see another regular Direct but its nice to see a new Indie World Showcase.

So what could we see tomorrow? Well, there is always at least one shadow drop on the day of the Indie World Showcase. We could potentially see a demo or two also. Are there any major indie games that we could expect soon?

I’m not totally sure. Its almost toward the end of the year and so most of the showcase will likely feature games from 2023. I’m hoping see a new teaser for Sea of Stars, which looks like a pretty cool rpg thats coming in 2023. We can definitely expect some surprises too. Sometimes these indie world showcases are really good and sometimes they are not. So I suggest setting your expectations to medium. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Its great that Nintendo is doing another Indie World Showcase this year though. It’ll likely be the last one. We probably won’t see a regular Nintendo Direct until early next year. Perhaps February or March after Kirby. We’ll see!
