Loot Crate – October 2016
Unfortunately, all my subscription boxes this month landed around the time of my pending move from one office to another, so although this review lacks the pictures that usually accompany it, I hope you will enjoy it none the less. With that being said, lets get to this months Loot Crate! If you want your own Loot Crate, head to www.lootcrate.com/gamesreviews and use coupon code GAMESREVIEWS to get yours!
Everyone loves a Kid Robot product, and although the Leatherface plush included in the box isn’t like your typical, cuddly plush, this one is still pretty cool. It’s currently on my desk at work, staring at me…and creeping me out. It’s gotta go, it’s gotta go!
No, I’ll leave it. Overall, this was a great way to start of the October Loot Crate!
If you were a fan of the Friday the 13th flicks, then this next item is something that should get you a little excited! Although I’m not a huge fan of wall pennants – mostly because my wife won’t let me put them up – this item has been getting rave reviews online. Of course I’m talking about the Camp Crystal Lake pennant, with nice amounts of blood splatter to make it more authentic. If you don’t know, Camp Crystal Lake “was a summer camp for kids in the Friday the 13th film series. Located in or near Sussex County, New Jersey, Camp Crystal Lake was most infamous for being the home of serial killer and assassin named Jason Voorhees, Pamela’s vengeful son.”
This next item has some spoilers from the Walking Dead, so if you haven’t seen it, skip the next paragraph…
Who wouldn’t cheer for a baseball team call the Negan Sluggers? Well, after watching the premier of Season 7 of the Walking Dead, it is safe to say that I won’t be a fan of the Negan Sluggers any time soon. This shirt design, however, is outstanding! Any Walking Dead fan would LOVE to have an item like this in their collection. What a FANTASTIC shirt Loot Crate! Keep this up!
I absolutely love getting books on my crates, especially the hardcover ones that make great conversation, coffee table books. This months “Regretable SuperVillians” book is outstanding. It looks back on villains from the past that were largely forgettable, or just down right weird. It’s a fascinating read, though, and I’m really looking forward to getting through the rest of it before I gift it to my father-in-law for Christmas!
The horror theme continued in this months box with a pair of chopsticks, FREDDY style! While I will admit this is an extremely odd item, I suppose anyone who is a fan of Nightmare on Elm Street will love getting it. It’s odd, but i’ll use it next time I’m out for sushi!
Overall, this was a great box for horror fans and non horror fans alike. I’m not big on the horror scene, but I can still have a great appreciation for the items we got this month. If you want your own Loot Crate, head to www.lootcrate.com/gamesreviews and use coupon code GAMESREVIEWS to get yours!
