Geek Fuel – October 2016

Unfortunately, all my subscription boxes this month landed around the time of my pending move from one office to another, so although this review lacks the pictures that usually accompany it, I hope you will enjoy it none the less. With that being said, lets get to this months Geek Fuel Box!

This months box actually came with some pretty cool items that will instantly be usable around my home. I’ve always appreciated when Geek Fuel provides items that have a practical use, like those beer glasses a few boxes ago, or in the case of this month, the Game of Thrones Dragon Egg toothbrush holder.

My wife and I are huge Game of Thrones fans, so this item rocks! And if you didn’t want to use it in your bathroom, that is not a problem since the holder also doubles as a small storage box.

If you were not a fan of Firefly, than you probably need to go looking it up and give it a watch. Firefly was amazing, and when it was cancelled, a little bit of me died inside. It’s nice to get a tshirt that shows off my love for the show. The design is outstanding, and the shirt feel very comfortable. It is even holding up after a few washes, which is not always true of subscription box tshirts.

As a big board game fan, I think the wooden dice included with the Luckslinger game are a bigger hit for my wife and I then the game itself. Here is a brief blurb from Steam:

“In Luckslinger, luck is measurable, collectable and usable whenever you please. On one half it’s inspired by the unrealistically fast gunslingers, the dark gritty humor and the greed driven anti-heroes of the spaghetti western classics. On the other half it’s inspired by vinyl digging, graffiti spraying, rhyming and the slow drums and jazzy samples of hip hop culture and sound.

I was not a huge fan of the other two items included. The gummy brains looked really cool, but tasted awful, the the Mike Myers figure I got was not sculpted very well, and it looked like something you would get in a cheap grab bag.

Still, I think this box was definitely worth receiving. The Egg and shirt more than make this box worth it for me! If you want your own Geek Fuel, head to www.geekfuel.com/gamereviews and get a free extra item!
