Geek Fuel – September 2016

August’s Geek Fuel was very much geared towards younger kids – apart from the Suicide Squad comic book – and my six year old son had a blast opening it up and seeing what was inside. Frankly, last month was a great month, and I wasn’t sure if this month could be as good. I was wrong.

The Best: Geek Fuel Classic Cutting Board

There is nothing better than getting geek items for use in your home everyday. Practical use that is; a few months ago we got a great oven mitt in another box that gets every day use, and this cutting board will as well. IT’S SHAPED LIKE A FRIGGEN NES CARTRIDGE!

Yah, that’s pretty cool in my books, and any real video game fan will really appreciate getting that item. The quality is also top notch. Been using it in my kitchen for over a week now, and it has been great!

X-Men Apocolypse tShirt

I always like getting licensed t-shirts, and this months X-Men shirt is no different. The quality of the shirt always seems slightly higher, and the overall value – the cost of you buying it yourself – is often very high.

The design on this months shirt is top notch – see the picture below and features Beast, Professor X, Cyclops, and more!

DC Colouring Pages

I wasn’t sure how i felt about this months inclusion of colouring posters, but my wife nearly ripped the paper trying to get them out of my hands. Apparently, adults who colour is a really big things right now, and these DC posters must be a hot commodity!

The posters themselves look really great, and are printed on fairly thick paper. Should my wife do a good job colouring them, I wouldn’t hesitate to pop them into frames and put them up around the house. They really are that great to look at!

Worst case scenario, your kids will have fun with them!

Harley Quinn Inflatable Hammer

I’m going to be bluntly honest here. I never even saw this item. Yes, I took it out of the box along with everything else, but when I went to grab it, it was LONG gone.

The kids are enjoying it though; it’s a good sized inflatable hammer that is now being used a weapon. It is an odd item to get for an adult, but I understand the appeal for kids. It’s getting used in my home, so nothing lost here!

Conclusion

This month has been a great box! The NES Cartridge cutting board takes the cake though, and could possibly be the best item I have ever received in a subscription box to date. Keep it up Geek Fuel! We love you for it!
