The New Paper Mario Brings Even More Color to the RPG Franchise
Paper Mario: Color Splash is coming out this Friday! We are currently waiting for our copy of the game, but wanted to provide you with a series of previews of it. Today, we’ll look at Color Splash’s graphics and how the new gaming is the best looking Paper Mario game yet.
From the moment Nintendo showed Paper Mario: Color Splash, my jaw was the floor. Paper Mario has never looked this good before. Yes, the graphics on all the other games were good, especially Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, but never has the franchise been in HD before and never has the series looked this amazing.
A Splash Of Paint
Much like Splatoon, Color Splash uses paint to forward the progression of the game. You’ll be painting walls, floors, and more in this game! The paint in the game is super bright and colorful. You’ll be finding paint all over and adding to the creation of each level you visit.
Colorful Characters
Mario characters have always been colorful, but Color Splash takes things to the next level. The good guys and the bad guys in this game stand out and look like someone drew them and then cut them out of paper. Each of the characters have a unique personality too. Even all of those Toads who look the same will show you right away just how unique they are! Of course, the villains are the true highlight of the trailers I’ve seen. The Kooplings are in this Paper Mario and they’ve never looked better!
Out of This World Environments
From tropical beaches to haunting hotels, Paper Mario Color Splash has a wide variety of places to go. The level of detail in each area is so impressive too. Take, for instance, the haunted hotel. There’s a big level of detail that goes into that whole area and at first, you might take it for a fancy hotel until all of the furniture starts floating around the rooms! And there’s a gladiator level, a Super Mario Bros 3 level, and so many other places to visit. The power of HD brings these areas to life like no other Paper Mario game.
So Much More
We have more to talk about with Paper Mario this week. Tomorrow, we’ll take a look at the game’s battle system. We’ll also have features this week on the game’s humor and its place in Paper Mario history.
