Mario and Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Review-in-progress Part 2

In part 1 of our review-in-progress of Mario and Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, we talked about the game’s biggest difference from the first game: the exploration. In part 2, we’ll talk about the game’s graphics!

In the first part of our review-in-progress of Mario and Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, we talked about gameplay. For this second part, we want to focus on the game’s graphics. Sparks of Hope is much better looking than Kingdom Battle. That game, of course, was a good looking game but Ubisoft improved on the previous game by adding more detail and more variety in areas.

Mario and Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is packed with details. Around every corner there’s a rabbid waiting with a quest or a new cave or house or side area to explore. Each planet has its own unique look, with seasons taking the focus so far: beach, frozen, and Fall are the first worlds we’ve seen. What about the characters in Mario and Rabbids though? Are they well designed?

There are a lot of enemies in Mario and Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. Yes, there is a bit of repetition. You’ll be seeing Gombas and some of the other enemies a lot. However there are some very unique bosses and occasional side enemies. And the main cast of Mario and Rabbids looks amazing! There are a lot ‘sparks’ that you collect along the way and they are very colorful and cool. Yes, overall, the worlds you visit are much more creative than the characters (so many rabbids!) but together, both characters and worlds, create a unique, beautiful game to explore.

Mario and Rabbids does have some glitches once and awhile. There has been a little pop-in too but not much. Sparks of Hope, so far, is aw ell designed game!

Next time, we’ll talk about the game’s battles! If you’ve never played this series before, we’ll give you a good run down of what the battles are like and why Sparks of Hope absolutely takes the fun and strategy to the next level.

A digital code was provided for this review. Mario and Rabbids: Sparks of Hope comes out this Thursday!
