Fire Emblem Warriors Review-in-progress Part 4

Please check out Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 of my Fire Emblem Warriors review-in-progress. For the fourth and final part of my review-in-progress, I wanted to talk about Fire Emblem Warrior’s story. While Warriors is a different type of game then the regular Fire Emblem series, it does still feel like a game in that series. It also pays tribute to the games that came before it. Come closer. Let me tell you about a story (while trying not spoil it).

The story of Fire Emblem Warriors is pretty typical Fire Emblem. A kingdom is in trouble and some heroes rise to the occasion. There is a bit more to it than that, but I don’t want to spoil the story for you. Just know that you can expect something that feels much like Fire Emblem. And that includes the dialogue in the game!

Fire Emblem games haveĀ alot of dialogue. Sometimes too much if you ask me. Fire Emblem Warriors is just like that. The characters in this game will stand around and talk and talk and tallk and talk and…well you get the point. Sometimes you just want to skip what they are talking about. But if you do that, you’ll miss an interesting story.

The thing that’ll stands out for me the most is how characters from other Fire Emblem games are getting drawn into the story of Fire Emblem Warriors. I won’t say how. I have my anti-spoiler hat on. If you’ve followed this game at all or just looked at artwork or screenshots for it, you know that there are characters from other Fire Emblem games in this one. I won’t say which ones even! It is very cool to see these characters come together though.

Fire Emblem Warriors pays tribute to other Fire Emblem games with the inclusion of these characters and of course mentions of things that happened in the other games. And I should mention the game’s History Mode too, which includes events from other Fire Emblem games. While I haven’t seen much of this mode yet, I can’t wait to take a deeper dive into it.

There is just so much to Fire Emblem Warriors. This game isn’t just a beat ’em up. Fire Emblem fans will find a pretty complex game that is worthy of the Fire Emblem name.

I hope to have a full review (with score) of Fire Emblem Warriors next week. Thanks for reading my review-in-progress!

Have you played Fire Emblem Warriors? What do you think of it?
