FIFA 20 Available on Origin Access Premier | Can This New Installment Succeed on the Esports Scene?

As we’ve come to expect from EA, FIFA 20 Origin Access Premier release date came earlier than the worldwide and EA Access builds. Yep, this means PC master race gamers subscribed to Origin Access Premier are already neck-deep into the first competitive week of EA’s newest FIFA installation.

FIFA 20 web app is open for business too, with the mobile companion app scheduled to hit the shelves pretty soon. Everything is nicely poised for another excellent soccer season, with FIFA already set at conquering both PES 2020 and the e-football scene thanks to alleged groundbreaking gameplay improvements.

There are many gameplay features FIFA 20 wishes to capitalize on. While most of them have been welcomed by the community, some aren’t receiving positive feedback (cough, penalties, cough). Overall, FIFA 20 does feel a bit more polished than its predecessor, but that’s not that big of a statement considering the fact that FIFA 19 was a huge train wreck gameplay-wise.

Still, an improvement is an improvement, and perhaps incremental changes are what FIFA 20 needs to make a proper name for itself on the esports scene. It still struggles in some basic departments, but as time goes on, I’m sure EA’s golden goose will catch up and pose as a noteworthy esports franchise.

FIFA 20 Esports | What to Expect?

According to LegitGamblingSites.com, FIFA is not among the five highest-paying esports franchises. Dota 2 tops the list with the likes of League of Legends, and CSGO following in its footsteps. Despite not making it onto the list, FIFA 19 was still a popular title, especially in Europe, with a ton of online tournaments, a healthy and utmost competitive community, and several international esports events with lucrative prize pools and abundant sponsorships.

Plus, it’s always miles ahead of its direct competitor, Pro Evolution Soccer, which also seems to be oriented towards the esports scene this year. It even sports a brand-new name, e-Football PES 2020.

Still, I doubt the name change will be enough as e-Football PES 2020 seems to be in a world of problems right after its first week, with players complaining the gameplay was much better in the Demo version than it is in the full release.

FIFA 20, on the other hand, is kicking off its Division Rivals and FUT Champions and, as soon as the first few weeks are in, we can already expect first notable esports events. FIFA 19’s most significant event was FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 with lucrative $500,000 in prize pool money, and nothing is suggesting we won’t see it again next year. This time around though, the pros will be playing FIFA 20 instead of FIFA 19.

FIFA 20 Origin Access Premier | Should You Buy It?

You just can’t wait to start playing the all-new FIFA, right? You’re so jealous of FIFA 20 Origin Access Premier users that you’re contemplating whether or not you should pay the 15€ monthly subscription too.

In all honesty, OAP is a great deal! Not only does it allow you to play FIFA 20 before most other players, but it also features an abundance of Origin games, such as Madden 20, Battlefield V, Star Wards Battlefront and many more. Best of all, if you pause the subscription at any given time and subscribe again later, all of your game progress will stay right where you left off. Pretty neat, huh?

Additionally, with the FIFA 20 Origin Access Premier release, players can finally get their hands on Volta, the highly-anticipated FIFA Street’s spiritual successor. And don’t even get me started on the new manager career mode additions. From all I can tell here, FIFA 20 Origin Access Premier release date couldn’t have come sooner!

All things considered, the all-new FIFA installment looks set to dominate the market, not just in terms of multiplayer and esports but singleplayer-wise too.
