Excellent 1 Up Box Customer Service

Usually each month we do a few unboxing and reviews of various subscription boxes. Unfortunately, we never got around to that with 1 UP Box because so many of the items inside were taken before I ever got the chance to open up the box. Fortunately, with a quick tweet on Twitter, I was awaiting a backup package from 1 Up Box with the items I was missing.

Since we are now at the end of September, it seems a bit funny to do an unboxing and review of August’s 1 Up Box. However, I wanted to spend time with this blog to comment on the excellent customer service extended to myself by the team at 1 Up Box.

This company cares. There no-questions-asked policy of replacing the missing items was excellent, and I worry that some individuals may try to abuse the system, because the staff is this great. I let them know right away that items were missing – a significant amount of items, including the Yoshi plush, snitch necklace, 1 Up August button, and the Sonic the Hedgehog patch.

Although being in Canada meant I would have to wait longer than expected for my items, they still came in a reasonable amount of time, safely sealed inside a padded pouch, which fortunately was not tampered with.

I wonder if pouches are how these companies should ship items in the future; with boxes, it is much easier to cut the minimal tape, take what you want, and slap some new tape on. With a pouch – which would be complicated by anything in a box, say a Funko Pop – would be much harder to manipulate.

All of this aside, the August 1 Up Box was actually really great! I especially enjoyed the Yoshi plush, the Sonic the Hedgehog patch, and the Pokemon GO tshirt. If I was breaking this down completely, I would say that 1 Up Box hit it out of the park…again. If you want consistent quality, this is definitely the box you want to buy!
