Elsie Is Now Available on Nintendo Switch

Elsie, an action/adventure platformer roguelike, is now available on Nintendo Switch. Check out the launch trailer along with our first thoughts on the game.

Elsie is out now on the Nintendo Switch eshop. Thanks to Playtonic we received a review copy of the game yesterday. My review isn’t ready yet but I thought I’d provide you with my first thoughts on the game.

In Elsie, you play as a robot whose sent out to face other robots. You’ll go into each level not knowing what to expect since each time you enter a level after dying, the levels are different. And you’ll die a lot because this game definitely gets harder as you go. It does have some cool options though! If you want to be invincible, for instance, you can do that. I checked out that option and yes it makes the game very easy but it does let you get to see much more of the game too.

I also liked the option to make the text bigger in the game, because it does start off as being too small. There are plenty other cool options in the accessibility options too. Playtonic wanted this game to be fun for everyone!

And despite its difficulty, Elsie is a lot of fun. You run and jump and shoot your way through really cool well designed levels. I’m liking Eslie a lot so far.
