Super Addictive Fantasy Farming: A Fae Farm Preview
Fae Farm is an indie simulation game with a fantasy twist. Its coming to the Nintendo Switch next month and we got an early look at it thanks to Phoenix Labs! Here are our thoughts so far on Fae Farm for the Nintendo Switch.
In Fae Farm, you create a character: either a he, she or they, and then go on a journey to find another land. You find it but get stuck there. The mayor of the new land gives you a home and a piece of land to farm on. After a short tutorial, you are free to do whatever you like. You can farm, fish, catch bugs, swim, do magic, whatever. Wait…do magic? Yes, Fae Farm has magic in it and you can even go into a mine and do battle with monsters while trying to mine for new minerals. Fae Farm is super addictive.
There is a story in Fae Farm and its pretty interesting but you don’t have to focus on it if you don’t want to. There are so many sidequests to do, along with just farming, fishing, and bug hunting. More things unlock the further you get into the game. What have I been doing in the game?
Fae Farm on the Nintendo Switch is one of the most addictive games I’ve played in awhile. I’ve been focusing on the story, while also doing some farming and some hunting for minerals. The game plays pretty well in the first four chapters, which is all we can talk about for right now. There is some slowdown occasionally in the game, but otherwise Fae Farm is a real treat.
The game feels a bit like Harvest Moon, a bit like Rune Factory, and a bit like something totally new. I’m hopelessly addicted to the game and can’t wait to find out where the story goes next and what surprises await in the game. There is already so much to do in these first four chapters!
Fae Farm also has multiplayer but we haven’t had the chance to check that out yet. Hopefully before our review is due. Please stayed tuned to GamesReviews.com for our full review of Fae Farm next month.
Thank you to Phoenix Labs for providing us with a digital code for review. Fae Farm will arrive on the Nintendo Switch eshop on September 6th, 2023!
