Portable Gaming Monitor – My New Tech Companion
The lockdown we are facing because of coronavirus has led many people to self-discover themselves. People have developed different hobbies and routines to keep them busy. Maybe you are spending more time on social media, or you have started playing more games. Perhaps you are hooked on Netflix and chilling.
But for most of us, this pandemic has turned our homes into an office. These walls where we look for rest and peaceful environment have become our workspace and everything else. For me, I had to go to my hometown to spend this time of the pandemic.
We have LED TVs in every room, but the thing is that all of us (siblings) are here and I wasn’t able to utilize the screens for my console. This was when I got know that portable gaming monitor is a thing and I can use it to play games in my free time without waiting for any to stop watching TV.
As I’m a freelancer, I can work or play my favorite games anytime I want without having to wait. So, getting a portable gaming monitor helped me get into a comfortable rhythm of work and entertainment. Now I can easily set up my gaming area anywhere I can find a socket without much hassle.
Me and my pals (laptop and portable gaming monitor)
Okay, your question? Which monitor did I get? Well, it was a tough choice as many good options were available. After reading reviews about several best portable gaming monitors, I settled with ASUS ZenScreen. Yup, I know I am brand conscious but made the right choice for my requirements.
I’m not going to post a full review but will only share some key specifications with you. After a month of usage, I can say that I really enjoy gaming on this gadget. I can’t offer in-depth analysis, as this was my first portable gaming monitor. Let’s take a quick look at the specs.
- Lightweight at 1.72 lbs
- FHD, flicker-free 15.6-inch IPS screen
- Refresh rate 60 hertz
- 8.90 x 0.30 x 14.20 inches
- Fantastic image quality
- HDMI & USB ports
- Decent sound with built-in speakers
- $249 (It’s more expensive than other portable gaming monitors)
- It also comes with a fold able stand.
- Brightness is a bit low, which makes it less usable in outdoor (but who wants to go outside?)
I love the performance as it is blazing fast and will take no time responding. The full HD screen gives a clear image quality making your overall experience of gaming far better than the cheap ones. I am also watching YouTube or Netflix, and I can say that it does a great job.
You can get pretty bored staying home at all times. So, be creative or get yourself a gadget that will keep you busy in other than working hours. These gaming portable monitors are great for people who travel a lot and also loves gaming.
