Disney Magic Kingdoms: Unlocking Christopher Robins – Chapter 3
Two chapters down, and one to go, as we all move forward in our quest to unlock Christopher Robins! How has it been for you so far? While I originally questioned whether the Big Hero Six event was fair when it launched – as many people complained that they couldn’t get the necessary tokens to unlock Baymax – I’m not sure the same criticisms could be levied against the Maleficent event tokens, which if you are up to date with the games content and play regularly enough – even with a few hours off – you can easily obtain everything you need.
As always, we are playing Disney Magic Kingdoms on our Google Pixel 2, provided to us by Google Canada. The Pixel 2 is a great multimedia phone with two front facing speakers for anĀ optimum audio experience, whether playing games, watching movies, or listening to music! Read our review here.
For myself, we are 1 day into Chapter 3 and I’m only one Christopher Robins ears tokens short of unlocking Pooh Bear’s best friend, and the anticipation is building. A few new quests will unlock with chapter three involving One Hundred Acre Wood Characters, and you’ll need to free up Pook, Kanga, and Rabbit to get those done. On top of the Winnie the Pooh characters, friends from Wall-E, Zootopia, and of course the Mickey and Friends gang will be along to help you successfully complete your mission.
I said it last time Gameloft launched a Maleficent event, and I’ll say it again: these events are much more laid back, and are a nice change of pace from the longer, more time intensive quests like Big Hero Six and Winnie the Pooh. While those events are fun – and great for your park as they introduce tons of new characters, decorations, and buildings – they do take up a lot of your time, forcing you to come back to the game often, perhaps more often than you normally would. In some cases for myself, it gives me anxiety worrying about potentially not unlocking everything an event has to offer.
Not so with these Maleficent events. Over the weekend I went away for a complete day, and decided to leave my phone at home. That was roughly 14 hours where I did not touch Disney Magic Kingdoms once, and I was still easily able to complete Chapter 2, and get a good start on Chapter 3.
Are you enjoying this event so far? Have you seen the Christopher Robins movie yet? Let us know!
