Branding in our world today is a big deal, with some companies pegging their brands as multi billion dollar entities. And we are familiar with these brands too, as they have world wide recognizability the second you hear them: Coke, Nike, Microsoft. You hear the word, and you instantly know what the brand is, what the colours are, and what type of products they make.
But what if I said Nuca Cola? Would that ring a bell to you? What if I talked about the oil and gas tycoon, Red Rocket!? Ever heard of them? The folks over at Betway have put together an article on the biggest brands in gaming, and it’s actually a remarkable read. I’m looking to hone in on the brands that make Fallout so successful!
Whether on real world tShirts, coasters, or used as marketing material in their games, Bethesda has milked Nuca Cola for all it’s worth, and according to Betway, it’s worth a whole heck of a lot! Businesses use custom playing cards as a unique and memorable way to promote their brand by displaying their logo, tagline, or any brand message, which can help to grab attention and make a lasting impression with customers or clients. Others create custom playing cards themed to their industry, using images of their products, services, or industry-specific designs to attract customers or clients in their specific niche.
Not more than other brands mind you, but for the Coke equivalent it’s doing pretty good? How good, you might ask? Let’s take a look!
Nuca Cola is easily the most recognizable cola brand in video game history, and that is backed up by impressive numbers. According to Betway, Nuca Cola is with about 73 billion dollars, which puts it at 5th on the most valuable brands list. While not one of video games bigger employees – it doesn’t even rank in the top 15, it’s still churning out a ton of product and taking in outstanding profits!
If that was Fallouts most impressive brand on Betway’s list, you might consider that pretty successful for that franchise. After all, we can all assume which games brand is coming out on top, right? With dozens upon dozens of fictional brands, and with the popularity of the game in general, it would be a good assumption that Grand Theft Auto would have the most popular brand. And while that is a decent thought, it is actually Fallout who has the most valuable brand in gaming!
Red Rocket, a fictional oil and gas company in the Fallout universe is worth a whopping 189 billion dollars, which puts it on top of the in game branding world. And why not – when you think about real world equivalents, it makes sense that an oil and gas company would be on top.
