More Thoughts From Me: Get Ready for the Second Heist

Steamworld Heist was an excellent game. Heck, all of the Steamworld games are amazing. And next week, Steamworld Heist 2 comes out. Let’s talk about this game!

In Steamworld Heist 2, you’ll play as a new pirate captain robot with her own crew of robot pirates. This time, however, instead of sailing the star ocean (no not that star ocean), you are sailing an actual ocean. This crew of robots finds themselves on a planet exploring and fighting in that classic Steamworld Heist action turn-based combat.

If you’ve never played the first Steamworld Heist (shame on you), then I’ll recap the combat: the robots engage in turn-based strategy combat. You’ll face off against other robots with guns. The coolest aspect of the combat is that you line up shots to bounce off the environments and objects in order to enact awesome shots. Instead of blood everywhere, you’ll have bolts everywhere!

The combat in the first Steamworld Heist was a lot of fun and very strategic and that combat is back.

Also there’s ship-to-ship combat too! It looks like a lot of fun.

Add in various hats, a job system, and extremely cool music and you can see why I’m excited for Steamworld Heist 2.

If you’ve never played the first one, its out on Nintendo Switch and other systems right now. Steamworld Heist 2 comes out on August 8th, 2024.
