Hello Again Psychonauts

Psychonauts was a classic on the original Xbox. Absolutely loved that game. And so when I got gamepass, Psychonauts 2 was one of the first games I had to play. Hello again Psychonauts!

Its been a long time since Psychonauts on the Xbox. I loved that game but for the longest time, never thought there would be another Psyhonauts game. And then the second one was awesome. My excitement level was high. Now that I’m playing the game I can say that…

Psychonauts 2 is awesome! This game was so worth the wait.

Now before talking more about the game, let me just say that if you haven’t played the first Psychonauts, you really need to do that. Thankfully the first game is available on gamepass. Go play that first! If you don’t, you’ll be really confused by this second game.

Psychonauts 2 tries to recap things but those who haven’t played the previous game won’t understand the characters or its world. All I can say without being too confusing is that the main character is named Raz and he’s a kid with psychic powers. He joins an organization called the Psychonauts. They all have psychic powers too. The Psychonauts help people who have problems with their brains. They actually enter their brains and try to help them with their issues!

The entering the brain part is a lot of fun. Raz enters brains via a small door in the back of people’s heads. The brain environments look different depending on whos brain you’re entering. So far I’ve only been inside of two brains. The game does have out of the brain areas to explore too, such as Psychonauts headquarters. Raz has his psychic powers in and out of the brain and you can: light stuff on fire, enter peoples head to look through their eyes, blast stuff with your mind, move objects, etc. This game is a ton of fun.

Graphics wise, Psychonauts 2 has a great graphics. It keeps the same style as the first game but its totally next gen and HD. It’s a colorful, very wonderful game.

I’m not finished with Psychonauts 2 yet but it has lived up to what I wanted it to be. The psychic powers are fun, the platforming is good, theres lots of secrets to find, and the story is fantastic. I absolutely love this game. It might be my favorite game on gamepass so far and that’s saying a lot because I’ve discovered a lot of cool games already.

What I’m trying to say is…go play Psychonauts 1 and 2! Also: we need a third game.
