Disney Magic Kingdoms: Was Big Hero Six a Fair Event?
Disney Magic Kingdoms latest event surrounding the locations and characters of Big Hero Six is almost complete, and with less thanĀ 1 day to go until the event concludes, the developers behind the smash mobile hit are already teasing the next update to the game, during a Facebook live stream tomorrow. We do know that new land will open up, but don’t know exactly what that means yet. Check out the facebook page tomorrow for more details!
As always, we are playing Disney Magic Kingdoms on our Google Pixel 2, provided to us by Google Canada. The Pixel 2 is a great multimedia phone with two front facing speakers for anĀ optimum audio experience, whether playing games, watching movies, or listening to music! Read our review here.
But back to the Big Hero Six event? Did you complete it all, or will you get it done before the deadline tomorrow. In all my time playing Disney Magic Kingdoms, I’ve never felt like the game is working against me as much as I did with this. Until attempting to unlock Baymax, everything was advancing at a pretty good pace, taking into account that I was checking in on my game every few hours, and had purchased the two premium characters from this even to help me out.
Still, with almost no time on the clock, I’m still struggling to unlock Baymax because I just cannot seem to get the planks required to finish the character requirements. I’ve been very diligent in returning every 4 hours to click through the three available tasks that net me planks, and still I’m coming up empty handed. Until about 4 hours ago, where it seemed I couldn’t complete the task without earning a plank. It’s frustrating, but ultimately it is fair, and here is why.
In the past, the game has never really made me question the release of specific items needed to unlock characters and buildings. Sure, getting all the ears for Donald Duck seemed friggen impossible, but doing so was not hampered by time, and if I took 6 months to get Donald Duck that was OK, because it was always an option. Baymax was a different ball of wax. I had days, not months, to get the planks in order to unlock the character.
Ultimately, however, the game turned around quickly near the end of the event and gave me the necessary items to complete the character request. And that’s great, but I hope it doesn’t entice people to spend money because they worry they won’t be able to complete an event. While that is probably very much the case, I urge people to remain vigilant with the process as it does seem to work out in the end.
Ultimately, the game is fair. Did you enjoy the event?
