More Thoughts From Me: Ten Games For the Rest of 2024

At the start of the year, I did a list of ten games I couldn’t wait to play in 2024. Some of those games have come out and some of them haven’t. Now that we know what Square Enix and Nintendo have planned for the rest the year, what does my 2024 list look like now? Here are the ten games I want to play in the rest of 2024.

Its almost summer and we’re going to have lot of games of 2024. Here are the ten games I want to play this year:

10. Cat Quest 3: I played a demo of Cat Quest 3 and absolutely loved it. It was very cool wandering around in that world and being able to sail around in it too. Very excited for this one.

9. Steamworld Heist 2: I loved the first Steamworld Heist and this one looks even better! Robots and turn-based ricochet combat are back with sailing and more exploration added. This looks like a blast.

8. The Plucky Squire: This was on my other list. We don’t know when its coming out but its supposed to be out this year. The Plucky Squire looks amazing!

7. Metaphor: ReFantazio: Another game from my previous list. Metaphor has a lot of things that make Persona great, especially the style, and some cool new things too. It looks like it’ll be an excellent rpg.

6. Mario & Luigi Brothership: What a huge surprise! We all thought there would never be another Mario & Luigi game since the original developer closed down. This game looks fantastic. I love the new graphics and how its in full 3D. That said, it keeps the traditional Mario & Luigi combat. Its going to be a must play for sure.

5. Epic Mickey Rebrushed: I loved the original Epic Mickey on the Wii and was super excited when it was announced that the game was going to be remade and put on modern hardware. I’m especially excited to play this game on Switch!

4. Indiana Jones and The Great Circle: Oh my. Indiana Jones and The Great Circle looks incredible. Love the graphics and I think its pretty cool that they put the game in first person instead of third person like we all expected. If it was just in third person, everyone would be comparing it to Uncharted and Tomb Raider. First person gives it a totally different look. The cutscenes will be really great in this one too. Can’t wait to play this on Gamepass.

3. Fantasy Life: The Girl Who Steals Time: A game from my previous list. I’m so excited for a new Fantasy Life game. I loved the 3DS one. This one looks like it could be even better, with more jobs, a customizable town, decorating your home, and more. I hope its as great as it looks!

2. Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom: Not only are we getting a brand new Zelda game this year in the style of the Link’s Awakening remake, but ZELDA is the character we control for the first time ever. Link disappears and Zelda has to save the day. Plus, she has an awesome wand that’ll copy objects and enemies so that she can use them. Wow!

1. Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D: I love Dragon Quest and this game is my absolute MUST HAVE game for 2024. If I can’t get any other game on this list, I will get Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D at least. The graphics for this look even better than when it was first revealed and the gameplay looks like classic Dragon Quest. So can’t wait to play this game!!

Honorable mentions: Beyond Good and Evil Anniversary Edition, Star Wars: Outlaws, Visions of Mana, Fantasian, Romancing Saga 2, Avowed, and probably other games I’m forgetting. Too many games! whew
