More Thoughts From Me Special Edition: The Playstation 5 Event Blew My Mind

I went into the Playstation 5 event thinking that it might be ok. I wasn’t expecting much. I kept saying before the event I’d love to see a new Ratchet and Clank. I didn’t think it would happen. It happened. And oh so much more! The Playstation 5 event blew my mind!

So I just saw the Playstation 5 Live event. Oh my god. What did I just witness?! What happened?! Where is my brain? Its on the floor!

Seriously. I’m not being sarcastic here. Not at all. I can’t believe what I just witnessed. Sony brought it. They absolutely brought it and more.

Yes, I was underwhelmed by the Grand Theft Auto beginning but after that…

We have to talk about Spider-man. I can’t believe it! I did not expect a new Spider-man game to be shown. And it coming out this year!! Wow. Not only that but it stars Miles freaking Morales too.

I am a huge Peter Parker fan. I am a big old school Spidey fan. That said, I love Into the Spider-verse to death. It made me a Miles Morales. So seeing this awesome new game that has so many Into the Spider-verse vibes. Its from Insomniac who did the amazing Marvel Spider-man game for PS4. Oh man. I want this game.
But after they showed this, I thought “Well, there goes the chance of a new Ratchet and Clank. Oh well. This is really awesome.”

I WAS SO WRONG.

A new Ratchet and Clank was shown. I thought Marvel’s Spider-man looked fantastic. But the new Ratchet and Clank….WHOA. It just floored me. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The different dimensions and the graphics and the gameplay and everything just made me go “I NEED THIS GAME NOW.” This will make me buy a PS5.

Probably not at launch. Though I’d love to have one at launch. But I’m gonna need one for Ratchet and Clank.

Of course Ratchet and Clank wasn’t the last jaw dropping game to be shown. We got new Resident Evil (what), a Sackboy game (loved it), Oddworld (so good), Horizon Zero Dawn 2 (whoa), and tons of other games that just made me go “What the bleep is that?!”

You may be thinking “He’s gotta be kidding with this excitement. He can’t believe this excited about these Playstation 5 games.”

I am not kidding you. My excitement level is high. I’m starting to wonder if I can trade in my PS4 for this. Maybe even my Switch. No, no, no, I don’t want to trade in my Switch. It has Animal Crossing and a lot other games I love. I actually don’t want to trade in my PS4 either. I’m not sure how I’d get a PS5 this year. sigh.

Wow. Sony. Wow. What a great job. This is our E3 this year. Sony absolutely positively wins this year.

I don’t see how Xbox or even Nintendo is going to top THAT. I’d love to see them try. I’d especially love to see Nintendo try because they are my favorite. Yes I’m a total Nintendo fanboy. And I’m telling you: Sony brought it. Sony killed it. They even made me want to play a Hitman game. I don’t care for Hitman games. That Hitman looked amazing.

Oh wait. I didn’t even talk about Death Loop. Oh my god. Death Looop. And that game with the astronaut and the little girl. And the game with the robot and cats. And…and…

The system looks beautiful. Best looking Playstation system yet. Wow!

Okay. I’m going now.

Seriously. I gotta go watch that Ratchet and Clank footage again.
