More Thoughts From Me #225: The Switch Is (Bio)Shocked
If you want a review of the Bioshock Collection on Nintendo Switch, check out Chris Mack’s review here. The following are my thoughts on the first Bioshock for Nintendo Switch!
The first Bioshock (and the other ones) are now on the Nintendo Switch. I downloaded the first one. I had to have it. Is it any good on the Switch?
I mainly played Bioshock in portable mode on the Switch but I did check it out on the TV. If you want the best graphics the game, you should play it on the TV. If you just want to play the game and don’t care how it looks, portable mode is fine.
Bioshock takes a hit graphics wise in portable mode. It plays fine though. Well for the most part. I did encounter one weird glitch in portable mode but otherwise it was a smooth experience. Yes, the game looks better on TV, but I’d much rather play it in portable.
I love having the option of playing on TV or portable. Most of the time, I’ll pick portable. Its amazing to be able to play games like Bioshock right in your hands.
If you’ve never played Bioshock, you are in for a treat. The gameplay is excellent. Even more so, the story is out of this world. The game’s twist is one of those “Whoa. Wait. So.” moments. It all adds up. Oh boy does it ever.
I won’t give you any spoilers. I’ll just ask that you go play this game. Play it on the Switch. Play it on the PS4. The Xbox. Whatever. Just go play Bioshock now.
The first game is a pure classic game. The second one is…not as good. And I have never played much of the third one.
In my opinion, the first one is the only one you really need to play. If you need more Bioshock, then the other two are waiting for you.
I look forward to playing more of the first game on Nintendo Switch. I may eventually get the third one. Maybe. There are just so many cool games to get on the Nintendo Switch.
Have you played Bioshock on the Nintendo Switch? What do you think of the game? Should I play the other two games?
Next week: Nintendo has been very quiet lately. No E3 Direct of course. No Direct at all lately…so can we expect any news from them soon? What games should we hope for this year? My thoughts next week!
More Thoughts From Me is an opinion column. The thoughts expressed here are mine and mine alone. Would you kindly play Bioshock?
