Is the Wiltopia Line from Playmobil the Best from the Company?

Playmobil has been around for a very long time, and over the past 2 or 3 years, we’ve been privileged to work with Playmobil and review a ton of their products. I need to say off the top that we believe that Playmobil is one of the top 3 or 4 toys of all time, and definitely in the top 3 of toys we have reviewed since we started doing Toy Reviews back in 2018. Even though we have liked almost all of the toys we have looked at to date from Playmobil, overtime I’m beginning to realize that the Wiltopia lineup might be their best ever.

Honestly, I think this comes down to the animals available in these sets, and just the sheer number of them that can be collected. Playmobil has a ton of sets that include animals in other themes, including dozens upon dozens of horses and ponies from the Country theme, dogs, cats, birds and more from the City theme, and a plethora of random animals scatter across those and other themes. But nothing quite compares to the animals available in Wiltopia.

First and foremost, the variety of animals is so impressive. If your kid has a favorite animals, at this point, there probably is a Wiltopia Playmobil replica of that animal available! Just off the top of my head, I know we have lions, tigers, sharks, turtles, orangutans, moose, lizards, fish, elephants, and so much more. They are all beautifully detailed, have a good amount of articulation, and in the case of the large African Elephant, have a water play feature built into them.

Kids love animals, and my kids are no exception. We’ve been Toronto Zoo members for a number of years now, despite living 3 hours away. We frequently make trips to Toronto to visit family and the zoo, and it is a highlight each and every time! In fact, we can even find some Playmobil Wiltopia at the zoo gift shop!

I’ve always been fascinated by animals, ever since watching the first moments of Planet Earth way back in the day. That passion has been shared now with my kids as well. So perhaps my view on the Playmobil themes is clouded by that love for animals. However, a recent trip to McDonalds Canada, who are currently doing Wiltopia toys in kids meals , makes me think my kids are not alone. Kids all over the restaurant were happy to be opening and playing with their Wiltopia toys. I think this is the best Playmobil theme, and I think others agree.
