Child of Light It’s hard to ignore Just How Beautiful it is

Child of Light is a stunning RPG video game created by famous developer Ubisoft. It’s actually one of the company’s most unusual game releases. Evocative, charming, and packed with breathtaking music and visuals, Child of Light conjures emotions you’ve never experienced in a game before.

The featured in-game art is absolutely breathtaking. Some have called it a “world of watercolor, painted by hand”, and we have to admit that the visuals are like something pulled from a child’s storybook. Some aspects of the game are incredibly detailed. The lighthearted tone of the artwork is never lost, although as you jump from battle to battle, the soundtrack changes dramatically from calming to intense and vice-versa.

Thisfantasy RPG is centered on the journey of its main character, Aurora, a young girl with beautiful purple hair that must find her way back home. A great deal of thought and work obviously went into creating the graphics. For instance, that purple hair moves as though she’s underwater. The backgrounds are all two-dimensional, yet they show a lot of talent, with details like mists curling upwards. The story of the game is intriguing, and it matches the graphics perfectly.

At first, Aurora is frightened. She finds herself weaponless, barefoot and utterly alone in a foreign land where she can’t trust anybody. She will use her ingenuity to explore a variety of different locations while looking for ways to help her sick father and save her kingdom. Trapped someplace she cannot feel safe, Aurora will have to fight off her fears in order to find her way back home.

Child of Light is not your average type of video game. It’s more like a lovely adventure meant to hook the player and keep them engaged. The fragile artistic style is inviting you to become part of a gripping virtual reality. Nothing looks joyful at first, but as you advance in the game, you’ll start believing once again in your strengths. Aurora may seem lost, but she’s a witty girl with enough courage to fight for her kingdom.

Child of Light looks handcrafted, it feels lively, and to some extent it overcomes most of today’s lifeless JRPGs. Ubisoft managed to compliment the stunning visuals of the game through enticing music and stirring soundtracks that will make the hair stand up on your arms.

By combining a minimalistic world with a host of unforgettable compositions, the developers manage to create a vast world from nothing. Spaces are largely empty until you reach a city, but the long chords and echoing string section say that it wasn’t always that way. The music adds a whole new layer to the plot, not only helping along the story as is usually the case, but building on it.

From the moment you enter the game you’ll see that it’s absolutely gorgeous. We can tell that Ubisoft worked a lot on the visuals, and thanks to its UbiArt engine technology, they finally made something truly incredible. Child of Light seems to have a floating interface. Inspired from the Japanese RPGs, the player will feel like exploring a fairytale. Some of the character-player’s in-game abilities are truly mesmerizing. Aurora’s flying skills allows her to float dreamily through thin air.

The story of Child of Light is all about betrayal, desperation, and fortitude. Unlike most similar games currently out there, it’s a movie-like experience with a strong narrative. It will certainly exceed all your expectations. Rather gloomy and sad at first, Child of Light becomes interesting and bold. It’s surely one of those video games you don’t want to see end.
