World War Z Sells around 2 Million Units in First Month

World War Z, a fast paced multiplayer zombie shooter, has done really well within the first month of launch, selling nearly 2 million units. The game, inspired by the movie of the same name, has received generally positive reviews, and is quickly becoming a favourite among online multiplayer fans! Our reviewer liked it as well, giving the game a 8.0/10! Here is a bit of what he had to say,

World War Z 4

The multiplayer game mode puts a spin on classic PvP combat. Imagine deathmatch and domination (point control) gameplay with the occasional swarm of zombies coming in to mess up your day and you essentially have the World War Z multiplayer experience. This is a pleasantly unique combination of fast-paced PvP and PvE gameplay that is sure to appeal to anyone who enjoys traditional online multiplayer. Overall, World War Z is a fantastically entertaining zombie-shooter that just leaves us wanting a slightly longer campaign mode. Nevertheless, it will be a staple for those casual weekend game nights with the squad for some time.

Here is a bit from the press release received today,

Powered by Saber’s dynamic Swarm Engine™, World War Z unleashes hundreds of fast-moving, bloodthirsty zombies – able to move and strike as one collective herd as well as break off into individual attackers – at a time on players. Choose from six distinct classes and an arsenal of deadly weapons, explosives, turrets and traps. Outlive the dead through intense four-player co-op campaign missions around the world, including New York, Jerusalem, Moscow and Tokyo, and battle both zombies and real human opponents in competitive, team-based Players vs. Players vs. Zombies (PvPvZ) multiplayer.

World War Z is available now on PS4 and Xbox One. For more details, check out review (linked above)! Were you one of the almost 2 million that has already picked up a copy?
