One Week Until Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The highly anticipated sequel to Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, is one week away! Let’s talk about the hype and how this game will surely be up for Game of the Year.

Legend of the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is one week away from release! On May 12th, 2023, we’ll finally get to check out this game.

Breath of the Wild was a huge game for the Nintendo Switch (and Wii U). The game was almost universally loved and we even gave it a 10 out of 10 in our review. Tears of the Kingdom is a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Direct sequel to a Zelda game. Majora’s Mask was a sequel to Ocarina of Time and Phantom Hourglass was a sequel to Wind Waker.  Tears of the Kingdom, on the surface, looks a lot like Breath of the Wild. It does introduce some amazing new features though.

After Nintendo showed off the new Fuse and Ultra hand abilities for Tears of the Kingdom, the hype for this title went up even more. Everything was already anticipating this game a lot. The new abilities are a big game changer! In Breath of the Wild, there were some players who are already testing the limit of that games physics engine. The new abilities take that to the next level by letting every player create their own vehicles and weapons. We can’t wait to see what kinds of things people create!

Tears of the Kingdom, without a doubt, will be in the running for Game of the Year. Knowing Nintendo, this game will live up to the hype and more. Players will be hooked on this game.
