More Thoughts From Me #120: Playstation and E3 2018

E3 2018 is right around the corner. We only have FOUR MORE WEEKS to go! In the lead up to E3, I will talk about what I think Playstation, Microsoft, and Nintendo will do at E3. Today, I’ll start with Playstation. What are my predictions for Playstation at E3 2018?

My first predictation is that Playstation will be at E3.

I know, strange right?

Basically, what I’m trying to say is that I think Playstation will do a press conference like they usually do. Also shocking right? Well, some people think since Playstation announced that they will focus on certain games at E3 that they are going to have some kind of “Nintendo Direct” and not a press conference. However Sony has focused on certain games before at E3 during press conferences. I think they just mean that they’ll be spending more time with these games than they normally would.

I do not think they are doing a “Nintendo Direct” nor do I think those games will be the only games they show!

While the large focus on Playstation’s press conference will be on the games they announced, well, I think they will also announce some suprising stuff too.

We already know there will be no new hardware at E3 from Sony. I love that. The Playstation 4 is doing great, why would they mess up whats going on now with a new system?

Instead, we can expect lots of games. I think we’ll even see a Vita game this year. Maybe two. Watch me be totally wrong about that predictation!

I also think that Square Enix will show off some early footage of the Final Fantasy 7 remake. I heard its getting a new look, so we’ll get a glimpse of that.

There will be other surprises too, including one last game and it’ll be a big one. Perhaps a new Ratchet and Clank? Uncharted? I don’t know. I don’t keep up with Playstation enough to predict what cool new exclusive they’ll reveal.

I think Playstation’s E3 this year will be good, but it won’t be great. Too much time will be spent on the games they announced that they are focusing on. The surprises will be loved, especially that one at the end. However, it won’t be the company’s best E3.

Next week: Microsoft! They need to get their head back in the game and they’ve promised that this year will be different. It seems like they are up to something BIG. But what could it be??? I’ll try to predict Microsoft at E3 2018!
