Monster Hunter Generations and Themed New 3DS XL Coming to North America in July

Yesterday, Nintendo of America announced that Monster Hunted Generations for the 3DS would be coming to North America in July. They also announced a Monster Hunted themed New 3DS XL! The announcement, including the exact release date, and my thoughts on the system and game are below.

On Twitter yesterday, Nintendo of America announced that Monster Hunter Generations would be coming to the 3DS on July 15. There will also be a special edition Monster Hunter Generations New 3DS XL released on the same day (see the picture above). Nintendo of Europe will get the game and system the same day too, but their New 3DS XL system will be red instead of blue.

I’ve tried multiple times to get into the Monster Hunter series, but failed to get into it each time. I think the graphics are great in the Monster Hunter games, but the actual gameplay always felt too basic to me. I was wanting more out of the game(s), like an interesting story and other things to do, and all the game really offers is killing monsters. Still, its cool that you can play with friends locally and online. I’m sure there will be a lot of people looking forward to the game and system in July!

Speaking of the system, I have to say that its very nice looking. If I was a Monster Hunter fan, I’d definitely want to pick it up!
