Crysis 3 – from the past to the future

If you think about great game what is it precisely? Story, look, time you can sacrifice to play, price, music? Whatever it is, we all love great looking games. There is a good reason for that, nobody will spend hundreds of Euro for new graphic card whiteout any reason. We want our games to look pretty, that’s the way it is.

So why I bother you writing about over 5 years old game? Answer is very simple: Crysis trilogy changed the way we perceive virtual world. This is not the best written game in the world, no question about that. To be honest, it’s trivial. One solder in super special suits fight against almost everything. There is no open word, no extra tasks, nothing, this could be boring after a while.

But the graphic engine is more then wonderful. Details, structure, smoothness make it super special. Even today this game can take your breath away. You are never then less on your own, hide behind you suit, pointing you enemies and taking them down. Nice and quiet. That’s not boring.

Crysis 3 is first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek (running on CryEngine 3) and publish by Electronic Arts on 21st of February 2013 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
